"And then the guy thinks I own him because he's a cop. Like what the fuck is that all about?"
"I don't know man. Flass is a piece of shit, that I know."
"Yeah. If Arnold Flass wasn't part of the police office detective groups and our bosses' close connection in GCPD."
"Mhmm, one of these days, karma is coming towards that bastard."
"Then keep wishing buddy."
A pair of criminals were dressed as common truck drivers in a big truck with a trailer behind them. A lot of boxes and covers were seen on the trailer, being a delivery for a toy company but in Gotham, there's always a secret behind the common goods. The pair were part of one of the big gangs in Gotham and surprisingly, they won't drink on the job to avoid police onto them. Truck drivers don't drink on the job and have a 12-24 hour on the job, being good coverups for the criminal shipping to go down.
However, like any criminal in Gotham, there's a big worry in the air and tension building up for the pair. They didn't want to get discovered by a certain Dark Princess of Gotham flying around. If they get caught, they get to fight, and would be painful for them. They don't want to fail their bosses or their partners overseas. A lot of time and money was put into this big operation...and dead meat might come out.
Then all of a sudden, the pair jolted upwards in their seats when they saw a familair bat-shaped shadow flying above them and causing one of them to pull out his pistols.
"What the hell?" The driver shouted in surprise.
"Batwoman?" The other guy questioned as his pistol was pulled out to quickfire in case.
Soon enough, the source of the shadow landed behind the truck and at the trailer, not even making a sound. A gloved hand came down and removed the locks to cause the trailer to fall behind the moving truck.
The driver and his partner saw that to their surprise much more of who they saw in the mirror for a second.
"You saw that?" The driver asked.
"I did...who the hell is this guy?" His partner asked but suddenly someone crashed into his window towards the driver's side, causing the glass to fly outwards and the pair being kicked out of the truck by the source of the shadow.
The said shadow revealed himself to be a tall young man who wore a very tight black suit that covered him from head to toe, grey gloves with his arms had three razor blades on the sides that change their size when needed, black battle boots, this yellow bat symbol on his chest, and a belt around his waist with a few bags to carry his equipment. Lastly, he wore this black cowl mask with pointed ears, white for his eyes, and left the lower part of his face exposed.
This new figure surprised and scared the pair so much more when he spoke to reveal himself.
"I'm Batman," He cold yet dark stated before giving the pair a hard punch in the face and then cuffed them up for the police to pick up the trash.
The truck had luckily stopped in the road and trailer a half mile for the GCPD to pick up as well.
Unknown but not to this New Bat, above showed this strange black bird machine that took the shape of a bat, being the Batwing and piloted by the said Dark Princess of Gotham - Batwoman. She had been watching this sudden operation taking place and was about to step in but stopped when she saw this new player stopping the shipment from even going anywhere in the first place.
"Who is this guy?" Was the only thought on her mind and something to talk about when she came home as there was not much she could do now as the police showed up.
Time Skip - Wayne Manor
At the very home that belongs to one of the founding families of Gotham and is currently owned by the Princess of Gotham known as Bryce Wayne who was finishing up her shower. She was telling everything she saw last night to her headmaid/older sister figure/guardian - Alberta Pennyworth.
"And you don't think maybe one of your rogues or crime boss is trying to upset you with this sudden New Bat in town? Perhaps, one of Catwoman's jealous fans?" Alberta asked, hanging her mistress a towel to dry her long black hair off and a white robe to cover herself up.
Bryce frowned and shook her head on that, making new sense and know Selina was picking with her lovers. Plus the last crazy fan dressed up as Catman and that's a story for another day.
"No, I don't think so. Selina won't manipulate someone like that just to mess with me. This is someone completely new, Alberta," Bryce stated, putting her hair into a towel and drying it off.
"Hmm, won't be the first time a fan took things too far and played dress up as you," Alberta remarked.
"Unlike them, I don't wear hockey pads...this one, he's very different," Bryce cupped her chin in thought and wonder
"How so?" Alberta asked, curious and see if she could put some input as during her days as a former MI6 agent skill doesn't go away that easily.
"He had training, similar yet different from my own. He's from Gotham through as he's familair with the city and this is not his first time on patrol," Bryce replied, using her detective mind from just watching this Batman from the first time and discovered later on that he has been targeting different criminal operations for the past few nights now.
"Well, that might narrow it down. Do be careful, madam. While a female is more deadly than a male in species the male has a strong build and pride to watch out for," Alberta advice due to her history with a few men from her days as an MI6 agent and saw the same down falls due to jealously but she had a feeling that this Batman was a different case.
Bryce shared the same thing as well and hummed to wonder who is this Batman. Who is he?
