Kore was in her backyard when it happened. It was a couple months. Kore was beginning to think they were okay, that their lives wouldn't irrevocably change. Then there was a flash of light and flowers. She appeared. She was very tall with wheat colored skin. It was a warm golden brown with deep brown curly hair. Her body had a brown and green glow to it. Kore was surprised. "Yaya?" she asked as she walked towards her. They hugged. Nothing was more comfortable then being around family.
"My granddaughter," Demeter said and kissed her forehead.
"It's true, isn't it? It's happening? That's why you're here?"
"Hera knew. A marriage bond was created."
"What? I'm married?"
"Well in the eyes of your family," her grandmother said.
"And-"
"Yes, you carry twins," she said with a bright smile.
"Oh gosh."
"You will be fine. Your fertility is high. So is his."
"I don't think that's what modern people like to hear."
"You're not modern people."
"I'm scared."
"I know. But everything will be okay."
"Do you know that? For a fact?"
"No. I'm not Clotho, I can ask her."
"I don't feel like deciphering whatever cryptic statement she plans on saying," Kore admitted. The Three Fates were like her Aunts. They lived in the Underworld. People didn't know it, but it was actually quite highly populated when it came to gods. Her siblings lived there, as did Thanatos, Hekate, the Three Fates, and sometimes Demeter if she was given authority to visit.
"Well then I can't offer much else in the form of help."
"Want to make dinner together?"
"Yes. But we need eggplant," she said and gestured to the ground. The plants Kore planted only moments ago grew. She harvested them as Demeter also touched her olive trees, turning them completely ripe. All her garden came alive. "I don't know why you insist on waiting. You have the ability to make it grow. I have shown you the magic. Gifted you with the ability. That also explains why your womb will likely carry many belleara."
"I have no idea what that is. And I have studied plants."
"It's when a species has four parts. Your children will have your witch abilities, I will bless them of course, then they will be vampire and wolf."
"Oh great."
"They will be magnificent."
"Of course they will. But-"
"No buts. Relax. Let's go make something to eat." They walked inside and Demeter shrunk to fit inside the house, instead of taking up space like her son-in-law/brother would have.
Fredrik returned to the Bennett household and immediately felt the otherworldly presence before he even walked into the door .he hesitated as he opened the front door. He didn't know if he wanted to meet Kore's godly parents. He walked in and heard r & b music and laughter. In the kitchen, Kore and an unknown woman were making food. Kore seemed to glow more around the woman. They looked at him at the same time. He was jarred by the woman's beauty, groundedness, and green-gold eyes. "Rik! Come meet my Yaya," Kore said and came over to grab his hand and walked him slowly towards the goddess. "This is my Yaya, Demeter."
"It's," he tried to say words but his mouth had dried up. Both women snickered at him.
"Lovely to meet you as well."
