A few days after Cyrus and Jonah arrived, it was Thanksgiving day. Most of the family was in the kitchen, working on the meal for that night. Cyrus, Jonah, Casey, and Holiday were the only people not in the kitchen and instead sitting in the living room socializing.

Jonah had been distant that day. Maybe being in the same house as Cyrus' family was getting to him but all Cyrus knew, was he was acting different. When Jonah got up to go to the bathroom, Casey decided to speak up.

"I don't like him"

"What?" Cyrus asked, partially not hearing her and partially just confused.

"He gives me bad vibes." Casey continues, looking at Holiday for backup.

"Yeah, he doesn't seem like a good person Cy," Holiday added, "i would have thought after all our family has been through, you would be able to spot red flags."

"What red flags, Hols?" Cyrus protested, not agreeing with either of the girls statements. "He's a great boyfriend. Sure he is a little pushy but he always stops when i ask him to"

"That's exactly what i'm talking about!" Casey said, louder than her previous comments. "He goes too far, you can't give him what he wants. I have a feeling things won't go his way and he'll pull something"

Cyrus began thinking about her comment. He knew she was right in a way, but was unsure if the rest of it was correct.

Jonah had returned from the Bathroom to a quiet living room. "Did i miss something?" He asked, confused on why they had gone quiet.

"No babe, it's nothing. Let's go sit at the table." Cyrus told Jonah, standing up and grabbing his hand. Casey and Holiday looked up at Cyrus and then at each other. It was clear they had discussed this, as they were the two people closest to Cyrus at this point in their lives.

-----------------

Once everything was cooked and all were seated at the table, the Anders family began their tradition of telling the table what each was grateful for before anyone ate.

Birdie was grateful for Holiday corp., Monica was grateful for the family, so was James, Holiday and Casey were grateful for the island, Cyrus was grateful for his boyfriend but Jonah, was grateful for nothing. He couldn't even list one thing he was grateful for.

Hurt, Cyrus began eating with the rest of his family. He and Jonah didn't talk much through dinner, socializing more with the family than each other.

Once dinner was over, Jonah surprised Cyrus with a hotel room for the night. Jonah had hoped that it would spark something in Cyrus that would lead to more than they had done previously so they left the house around nine to head over to the hotel.

After arriving at the hotel and checking into their room, the two went into the elevator to get to the fourth floor where their room was located.

Walking into the room, Cyrus was confused on why Jonah had booked this hotel but expected it to be because he wanted to get away from the family for the night.

Once the door was closed, Jonah dropped his stuff on the floor and went to grab Cyrus. He spun Cyrus by his waist, making Cyrus face him. Jonah then pulled him in for a kiss, walking them towards the bed.

Cyrus, not knowing what was going on was allowing his boyfriend to invade his mouth and hold him in place. It was warm though that may have been because of the situation. They hadn't kissed like this since the last time they were both drunk.

Cyrus was in the moment, fighting for entry into Jonah's mouth and being rejected. Jonah was holding Cyrus onto the bed and before Cyrus had time to say anything, Jonah was grinding on Cyrus.

Extremely uncomfortable with the situation, Cyrus tried to say something but was unable to once Jonah's hand was around his throat. Cyrus began to struggle for air, tapping Jonah's back to signal he wanted out. Unlike Jonah, he didn't listen. Jonah just continued what he was doing, knowing Cyrus was uncomfortable and not caring.

After a few moments of this, Jonah removed his hand from Cyrus' throat to attempt to undress him. Using his quick thinking, Cyrus moved as far away from Jonah as possible and got off the bed.

"What the fuck?" Cyrus asked, hugging himself for comfort.

"What? You didn't want to fuck me tonight?" Jonah questioned, completely unphased by Cyrus' tone.

"I have never suggested i wanted to do that" Cyrus started, "and if you interpreted anything i did today in that way, maybe we should distance ourselves. I'm going home."

"Wait, Cy-" Jonah began but Cyrus quickly grabbed his stuff and walked out of the room.

------------------

"You're telling me that he.." Casey asked Cyrus, making sure she understood why he had come back less than an hour after leaving.

"Yeah," Cyrus said shakily, thankful she was there to comfort him. "I didn't think i sent him those signals, did i?"

"You most definitely did not. At least not in front of the family" Casey comforted.

Cyrus just wiped his tears and leaned closer into Casey's shoulder. She hugged him for as long as he needed, allowing for him to let out any emotions he needed to.

"I'm going to book a flight to California with you tomorrow. I want to be there for you." Casey stated, trying to provide as much comfort to Cyrus as she could.

They spent a majority of the night like that until Cyrus fell asleep. Casey laid him down in his bed and she went to hers.
