The Devil May Cry team, excluding Trish, made their way back to Redgrave City. Their mission to stop the Thanagarian threat had been a success, and now they could return to their demon hunting business. As they headed back, they couldn't help but reflect on the events that had unfolded, the alliances formed with the Justice League, and the importance of protecting their world from external threats. Redgrave City awaited them, and they were ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.

Trish and Flash took a moment to catch up on recent events as they headed back.

Flash grinned, "You know, this whole team-up thing was a blast, even if it was to save the world from alien invaders."

Trish chuckled, "Yeah, it's not every day you get to team up with the Justice League. By the way, we never really got to talk about how we met."

Flash nodded, "True. It was in Milano during that demon outbreak, right?"

Trish nodded, "Yep, I was sent on a mission to deal with a particularly nasty demon there. That's when we crossed paths. You were a big help, by the way."

Flash grinned, "Well, I'm always up for helping out a fellow hero. Plus, I have to admit, your demon-hunting skills are pretty impressive."

Trish smirked, "Thanks, speedster. Maybe we can team up again sometime, under less world-threatening circumstances."

Flash chuckled, "Sounds like a plan. Until then, take care, Trish."

Trish nodded, "You too, Flash. Stay speedy."

Batman and Superman had a moment to reflect on their narrow success in setting the self-destruct sequence just in time. They had been through countless tight situations together, and their banter was a testament to their camaraderie.

Superman chuckled and said, "You always have to cut it close, don't you, Bruce?"

Batman smirked in response, "Right back at you. It wouldn't be as fun if we didn't."

Their teamwork had once again saved the day, and they knew that they could always count on each other, no matter how close the calls might get.

Dante and Vergil, having successfully defended Earth from the Thanagarian threat, took a moment to exchange some banter, each with their distinct personalities.

Dante grinned, "Well, bro, that was a first. Fighting an intergalactic army and all. You think we should add it to our demon-hunting resume?"

Vergil, ever the stoic one, replied, "It was a necessary intervention, Dante. Let's not glorify it."

Dante chuckled, "Aw, come on, Vergil! Where's your sense of adventure? Besides, it's not every day we get to save the world from bird-headed invaders."

Vergil couldn't help but crack a small smile, "True, but I'd prefer our enemies to be a bit more... down-to-earth."

Their banter was a reminder of their unique dynamic, even in the face of cosmic threats.

Nero and Nico sat in the mobile Devil May Cry, catching up after the Thanagarian occupation and Nero's captivity during the invasion. Nero couldn't help but vent a bit about the Thanagarians, referring to them as "birdbrains."

"Yeah, those birdbrains really thought they could break me," Nero said with a smirk. "But you know me, Nico, I've endured worse."

Nico nodded in agreement, knowing Nero's resilience well. "You're tough as nails, Nero. Nothing they could throw at you would break that spirit of yours."

Nero appreciated her words and then turned his attention to his adoptive sister, Kyrie. "By the way, how's Kyrie been holding up during all this madness? I was worried about her."

Nico leaned back, tapping her cigarette holder thoughtfully. "Kyrie's a strong woman, just like you. She held things together at the orphanage while you were away. But I can tell she missed you. She's been asking about you a lot."

Nero smiled, relieved to hear that Kyrie was doing well. "I should pay her a visit soon. It's been a crazy ride, but it's good to be back."

As they continued to chat, Nero couldn't help but reflect on the events that had unfolded and the challenges he had faced. Despite the turmoil, he knew he had a support system in Nico and Kyrie, and that made all the difference.

Nero nodded, relieved to hear that Kyrie had managed well during his absence. With the knowledge that his adoptive sister was safe and the support of his friends like Nico, he felt like he could put the ordeal behind him and move forward.

Nero returned to Fortuna with a sense of relief after the ordeal with the Thanagarians. He wanted to check on his adoptive sister Kyrie and the orphanage to ensure they were safe and unharmed during his absence.

As he arrived in Fortuna, he made his way to the orphanage first. The children were surprised and excited to see him again. Kyrie, who had been looking after the orphanage in his absence, greeted him with a warm smile. She knew that Nero had been through a lot, and she was relieved to have him back safely.

Nero spent time with the children, sharing stories and laughter, assuring them that everything was alright now. He also took some time to help Kyrie with the day-to-day tasks of running the orphanage, grateful for her dedication in his absence.

With Fortuna and the orphanage back to some semblance of normalcy, Nero knew that he could finally find some peace after the turbulent events he had endured.

As Shayera stood on the roof of her safehouse, a week after her resignation from the Justice League and her exile from Thanagar, she felt a profound sense of conflict and turmoil. Her fingers trembling slightly, she reached up to the Thanagarian headgear that she still wore. It was a symbol of her past, a past filled with loyalty to her people and her duties as a Thanagarian warrior.

With a deep, conflicted sigh, Shayera slowly began to remove the headgear. It was a heavy and cumbersome piece of armor, both physically and emotionally. As she held it in her hands, her thoughts swirled like a tempest in her mind.

She thought about her time with the Justice League, the bonds she had formed with her teammates, and the trust she had built with them. She thought about the people of Earth, the innocent lives she had sworn to protect, and the duty she felt to this adopted home.

But she also thought about her people, her homeland of Thanagar, and the desperate decisions her leaders had made in their struggle against the Gordorians. She had been torn between loyalty to her people and her growing realization that their actions were causing untold suffering.

As the headgear finally slipped from her grasp and fell to the concrete floor, Shayera closed her eyes. She knew that her decision to remove it was symbolic of her choosing a new path, one that would not be bound by the rigid codes of her past. She had resigned from the Justice League and had been exiled from Thanagar, but in doing so, she had gained a newfound freedom to make her own choices and seek her own redemption.

In that quiet moment on the rooftop, Shayera's heart was heavy with the weight of her past, but also filled with hope for a future where she could find her own way and make amends for the mistakes of her people.
