"Even when you come from nothing, and have little to nothing, doesn't mean you are subject to stay there."

5 years before the series events:

The streets of the Undercity were hardly barren, every meter filled with people. Although this made it loud, it also made it easy for some thieving kids to blend in.

"Get back here, street rats!" Yelled a drunken man, which whom was just robbed by three teenagers. Was his ten silver pieces that much to him? Probably; considering he was an alcoholic.

Three kids, following eachother hand-in-hand, zipped through the crowds; laughter written all over their faces. Slipping through market stands and into an ill-lit alleyway, a tall; and rather large boy led the way. A girl behind him; that was the leading boy's twin, holding his hand; and a more tanned boy holding the girls hand behind the others.

The two boys and girl let go of each others' hands and stopped running, catching their breaths and laughing.
"Oh man! That was hilarious!" Spoke the dark brown haired girl as she leaned against the concrete wall.
"Oh, please! The moment I spotted that drunkard, I just knew it would be easy pickin's." Retorted the tan boy with poofy brown hair. He opened the small leather pouch of money, counting each silver piece that was in it.

"No offense, Mylo, but I don't think any of us trust you with the money." The tall, dark brown haired boy said before he stepped forward to the other boy.
With disbelief, Mylo looked to the girl, which she was already giving him a look of 'don't look at me.'
"Unbelievable. You know, one day, you two are going to trust me." Said Mylo as he handed the pouch to the other boy. He crossed his arms and slouched against the wall, pouting like a toddler.
"Then give us a reason to start trusting you!" Laughed the girl, hovering her hand above her mouth.

"In all seriousness, I'm hungry... what about you two? Mylo? Y/N?" The tall boy asked the other teenagers, putting the money pouch in his jacket.
"Now that you mention it, I could go for some peanuts." Y/N, the girl answered; standing up straight.
"Pff! Then go to the wandering circus." Mylo retorted to Y/N, knowing full well that her favorite snack was a hand full of peanuts.
"You're the wandering circus!" The girl joked back, giving a light punch to Mylo's shoulder.

Before the two jokesters could notice, the dark brown haired boy walked to the edge of the alleyway; searching for the drunken man that they had stolen from not too long ago.
"Claggor?" The girl said to her twin, pausing from teasing Mylo. Her tone grew serious, and Mylo stood up straight.
"Ah dangit, that drunk man got his buddies out there looking for us." The boy, Claggor, said as he scratched his forehead and turned around to the others.
"Seriously?! For ten pieces of silver?!" Mylo complained, as if he wouldn't be up in arms if he got robbed.

"Better find a different route to The Last Drop then." Y/N sighed, turning around and walking down the alleyway; examining the walls and roofs.
"Y/N? What are you thinking?" Claggor asked, following her with Mylo at his side.
"I know you guys don't like this but-" The girl began, her arms gesturing around as she spoke.
"Oh, no! I am not climbing again! You remember the last time that happened? I twisted my ankle!" Mylo cut Y/N off, getting in her face and picking up his right ankle.

"Chill out, Mylo. That was one time." Claggor responded defensively, walking up to Mylo and pushing him away from Y/N's face.
Mylo scoffed, walking past Claggor and bumping into his arm in disagreement. The two boys followed Y/N, which whom was climbing a metal ladder to a roof.
Mylo and Claggor kept messing with each other, even Mylo stepping on Claggor's hand as they climbed upwards.
The view of the Lanes from up above was breathtaking and vast, looking completely nonsensical.
Y/N stood at the ledge of the rusty, green roof; completely in awe with the world around her. Meanwhile, Mylo was looking as if he was ready to puke. Claggor sighed, knowing this was going to be a pain in the-
"Sorry guys, I know you don't prefer this way. But, I just don't see us getting very far in the streets." The girl apologized, turning around to face Claggor and Mylo.
