It was the morning of October 23rd, and Alexandra was still fast asleep, her small body curled around Mr. Whiskers, when the sound of a car pulling up outside Kensington Palace woke Uncle Harry. He smiled, knowing that William and Kate were finally home. He glanced at his phone—just past eight in the morning. Harry tiptoed to Alexandra's room, thinking of how excited she would be to see her parents again.
As the front door opened, Harry greeted William and Kate with a grin. "How was it? Did you ask her?" he whispered, giving his brother a quick hug.
William's face lit up with joy. "She said yes!" he whispered back, holding up Kate's hand to show Harry the sparkling ring.
Kate, looking both glowing and a little tired, smiled. "We missed Alex so much though. How was she?"
