No thoughts really ran through Navy's head when her eyes opened.
She simply lied there, staring at the ceiling.
That was until a hard knock sounded on her door, and she jumped.
"Are you getting out of there soon?"
It was Clementine, and Navy froze.
Clementine knocked again, and this time, Navy scrambled out of bed, hurrying to the door and swinging it open. "Yeah. Hi."
"Hi," the girl replied carelessly before walking away from Navy's door. Navy sighed in defeat before leaving her room, realizing that her hair was most likely all disheveled after her nap. She ran her hands through her hair a few times, trying her best to fix her appearance as she looked at Sunny on the ground. He was fiddling with a rubix cube as he attempted to solve it, and Navy made her way over to him before sitting beside him.
"Hey," she greeted softly as she sat down, and Sunny looked over at her with a welcoming smile. "Hi, Navy!" He replied cheerfully, and Navy felt that knot in her stomach again at the name. She ignored it, telling herself she'd have to respond to Navy or nothing else, and she wasn't bold enough to refuse the name. She knew that.
She smiled back at him, bringing her knees up and hugging them to her chest. She rested her head on her knees as she glanced to Clementine, eventually realizing she was staring after around thirty seconds. She blinked and shifted her gaze to the rubix cube in Sunny's hands, remaining silent as she listened to the soft clicking of each movement the toy made.
Navy jumped as Eliza suddenly groaned in frustration after a few minutes. "Ugh! What's taking Indigo so long!?" She exclaimed, seemingly infuriated. Seeming slightly worried, Sunny placed the Rubix cube down as he stood.
Navy watched as the boy made his way over to Indigo's room.
"Indigo?" Sunny spoke, remaining outside of Indigo's door rather than entering. "Hey, um, sorry to bother you, but it's been an hour, and if you don't get out here, I think that Eliza might kill you- so um, yeah... " he trailed off. He waited for a moment to get a response, and after he didn't receive one, he sighed and returned to where he was sitting. He picked up the Rubix cube and started to repeat the movements he had been making moments before, but looked up when Indigo opened their door.
The group all looked over at the newly arrived one of them. Sunny went to say something, but was interrupted by Clementine. "Jeez, took you long enough. The fuck were you doing in there?"
"Nap," was all they got from Indigo, and their face twisted slightly in pain with the word. Navy looked to Kaizo as she flinched at his voice suddenly piercing through the quiet atmosphere.
"Ah, there you are!" Kaizo grinned, holding a microphone to his pixelated face. "Is everyone ready for the first game?"
"No," Clementine bit. "I still have no idea what the fuck we're doing."
"Sadly, you don't get a choice," Eliza spoke up, glaring daggers at the girl. "That was a joke by the way, I was being sarcastic, I don't feel bad for you," she added.
Clementine balled her hands into tight fists as she stood. "I'm not that stupid, I can understand when someone's being sarcastic."
Kaizo, his eyes shooting between the two girls, decided to intervene. "Clear it up, you two, there is no need to be rude."
Clementine rolled her eyes and folded her arms as she spoke. "Can we just start the first game alread?"
Kaizo's eyes lit up at the question. "Of course, I thought that you would never ask!" He then added. "Quick disclaimer: the games that we offer here at Supernova aren't all normal gameshow games, and some of them may put your life at risk..."
Navy's eyebrows furrowed, the words catching her off guard, but Kaizo continued before she could question his statemet.
"With that out of the way, let's get things started," he said before his hand shot up and he snapped his fingers. That's when everything went black.
