IN WHICH, when nova was younger, she had no friends because of two major reasons. one being that she was super shy and scared of everyone, the other being that she was homeschooled so she didn't know how to make friends to begin with. that all changed when she met billie. at first, she was scared of her because they were literal opposites. nova was only six years old so she didn't know if billie was judging her or not. surprisingly, they quickly bonded over having the same birthday. their friendship only blossomed from there on out. billie brought nova out of her shell and nova kept billie out of trouble. they were two peas in a pod, if you saw one, the other was usually close behind. they were even next door neighbors.

it just made sense that they were friends. billie was the singer, nova was the dancer. billie was the fun one, nova was the smart one. even when billie's career kicked off, nova was right beside her. eventually, nova began trying to make more friends that weren't just billie. that's when she met dylan. he was also very outgoing and he reminded her a lot of billie so she assumed they'd get along. she was very wrong. billie said that dylan was annoying, and dylan said that billie was rude. but that didn't change her very strong friendship with billie and it didn't change her growing friendship with dylan.

OR IN WHICH, imagine novas shock when she wakes up one morning to find that billie blocked her on every social media, including her phone number. she had no idea what had happened. they were just fine two days prior. she wanted to do whatever she could to figure out the cause and to make it better. that was kind of impossible because billie was very obviously avoiding her. and even when they would see each other, billie would just shoot nova mean glares and she'd never actually let nova talk to her. this eventually made nova really sad and she didn't even care about what she did anymore. she just thought  that billie was being the rudest person ever for no reason. so, the one sided hatred thing they had going on quickly turned two sided.

billie's career as a singer continued to flourish and novas career as a dancer did the same not long after. she wasn't nearly as big as billie but by the time she turned 21, she was well known enough to have a name in the industry. billie continued to avoid any topic of nova, and nova continued to be oblivious to what truly made billie start acting that way. she still didn't like her though. it's like the hatred grew over the years. they hadn't talked since she blocked her and both of the girls wanted to keep it that way. but, that's obviously impossible when billie's team is scouting for dancers for her new tour and they have no idea about the history between the two girls.
