Kyle and some of the guys from the basketball team, were at Nelton Court Mall, hanging out by the food court. In the midst of laughing and cutting up, Selena walked by with shopping bags in her hands. " Yo Ketch is that Sel right there?"
" Yeah, ayo Sel wait up!" Kyle shouted jogging towards her. " Yo baby slow down!" Selena sucked her teeth turning around. " What Kyle?!"
Kyle then threw up his arms. " Damn wasup witchu?!" " Leave me the heck alone!" Selena whined. " Yo buss it!" " Why you actin all high and mighty?!" " Oh, I forgot that's ya muthafuckin M.O.!" Kyle bellowed
Soon patrons of the mall looked on. " You know what Kyle, screw off!" " Your temper is so transparent it's embarrassing!' Selena retorted. " You threw my jacket in my face and treated me like dirt!" Selena began tearing up.
Kyle quickly tried to mellow things, but it was too late. "Okay, I'm sorry baby, let me make it up over some Mickey D's." " Good-bye Kyle..." " Here, take your stupid promise ring." Selena stated while giving the ring then walking off.
"Man, let that bitch go Ketch!" " She aint worth it!" A teen yelling in the background. Whatever walk you tired ho!' " Just give up like you always do!" Kyle screeching. After returning to the crew, Kyle shook his head, irate.
" Can y'all believe this broad?!" " Man, what happened between y'all two?" " I remember y'all was cool since elementary school." a teammate commented. " Man fuck all that right now." " She's a free agent for another nigga, I don't care anymore yo."
It was crystal clear that the relationship between the two, was a thing of the past.
Lieutenant McReary was fed up and tired of the sky rocketed murder rate in the Grove. He had the Chief of police riding his coat tails, especially since the rise of the two gangs. He tried to use Flythe to tie down Ezail, but quickly backfired.
" In here Mr. Flythe!' McReary yelled from his office.
" What's up lieutenant?"Flythe questioned. " Welp..." Besides my wife's cholesterol, my taxes, blood pressure, the bodies in this town is what's up....... question is why?" " Please, if there's a God and he loves me, why is our clearance rates on these murders so low!
" Have ya got some dirt on Mr. Two sport star or not?" Flythe proceeded to gulp. " Uh no sir, I mean last time we talked was around the home invasion shootings."
"Okay...." " What did you find out?" McReary losing his patience. " I don't have anything that sticks." " The kid is more likely part of the product being moved, but I don't see him being glued to any murders being ordered. "
" How?" " I mean how does ISS move so callously and strategically?" " These little ghetto mopes can't be that smart!" "Here we go again." Flythe thought.
"I'm sorry Lieutenant, but Ezail is cleaner than the board of health, when it comes to homicides."
" Well dirty him up!" " Just cause the little shit can play some sports doesn't mean he's walking around this town, my town, untouched!" McReary now raising his voice.
Flythe sighed, trying to maintain his composure. " Look, I'm all for making sure this community stays safe, but being deceptive and dishonest is not going to help these cases." " I'm definitely not going to get my hands dirty trying to pin a kid down."
McReary then rolled his eyes before scoffing. " Kid?" " My good man.... this isn't some kid with a sippy cup." " He's part of the problem here, can't you see it?" " My wife's cousin teaches at Bethel, and she says that boy is charming, and very cunning... aint no telling what he's into."
" Again sir, all secondhand information." " Unless he's on a wiretap talking murder, then he's in the clear." '" Please sir, let that boy be." " Just let him be man."
McReary didn't like what he was hearing, rubbing his hands in his face. " Alright... fine, you're dismissed detective."
Flythe walked out of the office, feeling relieve. " I can't stand that asshole.... I really can't."
