Slight Trigger Warning, Suicidal Thoughts
Hiccup felt kinda bad for taking Laurel's metal arm and leg, making her completely defenseless since the metal attachments went to the same side. He sighed, and leaned back against the anvil, contemplating wether or not he should give it back. Gobber hobbled in, and upon seeing his apprentice leaning against the anvil, hobbled up to his friend's son. "Aye, what's worrying ya lad?" "I might have made an unfair decision." "Then fix it lad! You break something, you fix something." Hiccup made up his mind and picked up the metal limbs, taking them into his little area in the back of the forge. He started taking them apart and improving how they worked. Finally, hours later, he'd perfected the two objects. Hiccup picked the metal limbs up and jogged over to Heather's hut. He knocked on the door and heard some rustling before Heather opened the door. Laurel stood shakily, sweat beaded on her forehead. They had obviously been exercising the one good leg she had left. Laurel had a slightly suspicious glint in her eyes, as if she no longer trusted him, and he accepted that. "Here." He thrust the heavy bundle into Heather's arms. "Sorry for taking them." Hiccup said quickly, before turning away and walking out. He let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding. He went to approach Stormrunner, as the nadder hasn't been exercised in quite sometime. He let him out of the stables before leaping onto Toothless' back. One thought circled through his head over and over again. If Laurel could survive the volcano, could Viggo have survived the Skrill?

Heather carried the heavy bundle back to her girlfriend. "You want help strapping these on, or," She left the sentence unfinished. "Help, please!" Laurel yelped as she her leg buckled beneath her and she crumpled backwards back onto the bed. Heather reached over to close the door, making sure it locked, before gently removing the other girl's top. "You wanna tell the tale behind the scar?" Heather asked, while draping one of the straps around Laurel's shoulder, over her head, coming to rest above her bindings. Laurel's face reddened slightly and started. "Well, uh, I kinda got it from Grimmel." She studied Heather's face for reaction before continuing. "I did something or another that made him angry, and I was strapped, tops off, to a chair. It was before I lost my arm." Laurel added the last part hurriedly. Heather tightened a few other straps, before turning to let Laurel put her top back on. "Grimmel 'extracted some of my life essence' for experiments I guess. The slash was just to prove he was stronger than me." Laurel's face was screwed up in pain, relieving the memory. Heather's face turned dark. "Babe, you didn't have to tell me if the memory hurts you so much." She leaned down and gently pulled the 'bag' part of Laurel's leg replacement over the stump, pulling the strap tight and adjusting the bend mechanism in the leg. "Is it lighter?" Laurel's question surprised Heather. "I dunno, it's your leg." Laurel sighed and limped outside for the first time in a few weeks. Heather followed, slinging Laurel's arm over her shoulder and together, they hobbled into the arena. They were greeted coldly, not much of a surprise for Laurel. "Stormrunner looks different from normal Nadders. Most Deadly Nadders are brightly colored, but Stormrunner has dark scales." Stormrunner blasted a target as Fishlegs directed him to do. "His fire is laced with electricity. Hiccup! I think Stormrunner is a Skrill and Deadly Nadder Hybrid!" Fishlegs was practically dancing in joy. "You just figured it out?" Laurel teased, one eyebrow raised in mock surprise. Snotlout tried to flirt, but Laurel exposed all of his past secrets to the entire arena. Time he screamed like a baby when they were training at the arena? Check. Time when there weren't enough yaks for a Snoggletog parade, so he had to dress up as one, but Tuffnut painted 'I'm a pretty pretty princess' on it's forehead so he had to walk around like that? Check. Laurel knew all of his secrets, so he eventually stopped. Laurel sighed and walked out of the arena. A flare of pain in her lower thigh made her stop, loosening the strap slightly, she continued on to the edge of Berk, and sat at the edge of the cliff, staring out into the ocean. She heard footsteps behind her. "You know, if I slid off right here, I'd hit that rock right there. There goes everybody's problems, me. Dead." "Laurel, stop." Laurel sometimes felt guilty for putting Heather through this, but after what she did, she deserved it. "You don't know all of what I did. It's partially my fault Stoick is dead." Laurel's humorless voice was met with a slight gasp, and a cold blade pressed to her throat.

"You did what?" Hiccup's voice made her freeze. "I unintentionally gave Viggo all the information he need about Bewilderbeasts." She turned, meeting the rage filled gaze of Hiccup, and Heather's sorrowful green eyes. "He grilled all the information out of me. He sent me on a scouting mission to Valka's island. He had me spy on the Bewilderbeast, gather enough information about the large beasts. So that Drago Bludvist could capture one. I didn't know what he wanted the information, but he would have killed my dragon to get it. I didn't know that he would turn Toothless on you, but it's my fault Drago got the Bewilderbeast, so it's my fault, all that happened because of it. The scar on Stormrunner's eye? That was a warning, to say he'd do worse to my dragon if I didn't give it to him." Laurel stood, spreading her arms. "I understand if you want to push me. By all means, I'd like it if you pushed me. I'd stop causing grief." She turned, facing the cliff, feeling hands rest on her shoulders.
