Rashel POV
I turned and sprinted like I have never sprinted before. I knew if he had known I was about to run he would have caught me easily, so I took him by surprise and locked the door behind me.
I had just agreed I would have sex with him. What the hell was I thinking? I mean yes I am a girl and yes he is a boy, a damn sexy boy at that, but that didn’t mean I had to have sex with him. I hadn’t had ‘sex’ in 4 years. 4 years but still it stirred the bad memories in my head.
That had been the one time. The one time no-one was there to protect me until it was too late. i shook the bad memories away, shivering against the cold metal door. When I turned back to see if he was there, his face was right up against the door. I jumped back in surprise, that’s what you get for zoning out, Rashel! ‘Come back here’ he mouthed through the glass, soundproof circle in the centre of the door.
I put my finger to my chin theatrically as if I was thinking about it. ‘I don’t know about that’ I mouthed back. I felt like such a tease, I never flirted this much. Ever, in my whole life.
I pointed to the corridor and began walking off, a massive grin plastered on my face. I looked over my shoulder and he was stood his bottom lip popped out like a little kid. How could I resist that face?
I strode back to the door and opened it with my fingerprint, running straight into his open arms. This is where I belonged.
The Day He Comes Out Of Prison
“Rashel? That’s not fair you do this every time!” Damon complained through the door. Mwhahaha! Yes I did do this every time. We would make out and then I would sprint to the door and slam it in his face. I would run as soon as he started to look at my neck. I was ecstatic. He was coming out today. In 10 minutes he would be a free man.
I held all ten fingers up to him through the door representing the ten minutes. I was counting down now. 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8….9…10…11…12…13…14…15…16…17…18…19…20 etc.
I dropped each finger accordingly and watched as each time one closed into my palm his smirk grew bigger and bigger. I never found out how he got out early to be completely honest I didn’t really care. I had spoken to Finn since I came back to the prison, he had talked to David who was furious that I had gone back but he understood and was reassured that I would see him again.
We were at the last finger now and ‘Jerry’ came out to join me and I dropped my hands to my sides. “Hi Jerry” I greeted him.
“Miss Thomas” he nodded, grumpy as usual. “As you know Mr Falford is being released today along with Mr David Simmons due to all charges being dropped on them after a trial held 3 weeks ago, are you ready for them to come out now?” he asked in a bored tone.
I had come today to pick them up and take them back to their territory; however it was a three day drive away so it was more of a road trip. That would be fun. Everything was ready. I had lots of clothes in the boot of the car, food, drink, a tent and sleeping bags. Everything ready. “Yes, let’s get them out” I replied happily.
“You can leave with them now, neither you or them are no longer needed” he added opening the metal door which stood between them and freedom.
Damon came striding out first, smirking and David followed grinning madly. He was such a goon. We had become good friends over the past month. I came to visit every day. On the first night I had found a small abandoned cottage in the middle of the woods. It was beautiful; I couldn’t understand why someone would leave it.
It had trellises with maroon roses creeping up it. Poppies and violets littered the front garden and a small stone wall surrounded the building. It was a dainty building with oak beams inside to hold it up. Flowery, vintage wallpaper and wooden floorboards. Not really my taste, but still beautiful.
Both the boys were smiling wildly as we walked through the glass doors at the entrance. They stopped and sniffed the cool, calm air. They must’ve stood there for at least 5 minutes before I decided it was time to go. “Guy! Snap out of it, yes it is air, get used to it. Average people breathe it in and out not sniff it for 5 minutes straight!” I snapped, annoyed.
“Technically we aren’t average people though” David smirked back and Damon growled.
“Smart-ass” I muttered.
I took large strides to my mini. My beloved mini with which I had been reunited with. I could feel them behind me creeping behind me. The doors to the car swung open with one smooth movement revealing the dark leather interior to me.
I love the smell of leather there is something earthy about it that smells like home. Or it might just be that my father likes leather furniture. “Come along now.” I said casually like they were small dogs out on a walk.
“Yes maa’m” David said, theatrically saluting me. I rolled my eyes at him, kike I said such a goon.
“So where we off wolf girl?” Damon asked calling me by my pet name. Yes I had a pet name. No it wasn’t very original but it was still a pet name. It was nice to have a pet name.
“The cottage” I answered putting the key into the ignition and closing the door. I had told them all about the cottage. How it was pretty and all.
“What about David?” he asked a confused look on his face. He was eager.
“Well, I suppose he could go back to your territory but I can only take you to the border… cos I aint in your pack, honey!” I stated a little annoyed I was banished from my own mate’s land. That HE owned!
“Of course you’re welcome, you’re my mate!” he shouted like it was a known fact.
“No I can’t. For one my brothers and pack would hate me and we aren’t completely mated…” I stated but he cut me off –
“Yet” he muttered and David wolf-whistled. This caused me to growl at him.
“Well yes but still. We aren’t mated properly yet so I can’t they won’t accept me anyway” I said knowing it was completely true but still feeling sad about it. Of course he knew I was right so stayed silence. The silence was too awkward.
“So I am taking you to the border or what?” I asked David turning away from the road. He ummm…-ed and ahh….-ed for a few seconds but a different voice cut in.
“Rashel look out!” Damon shouted. I swivelled round on my chair to face whatever danger it was. Those damn wolves from my journey a month ago! They must be stalking me!
“Damn stalkers!” I screamed stopping the car and it screeched to a halt. There were three again the same ones as before. Brown, chestnut and gingery. They were all growling. I reached to open the door but a hand clamped onto my arm stopping me from moving any further. “Let me and David go, we know how to fight” he said his voice reasoning with me.
“Excuse me! I know how to fight too! I am not completely useless! There are three of them and three of us, lets all go” Why did he think females couldn’t fight! We could fight perfectly well or at least me and Tasha could.
“No you stay here. Right here!” she said sternly like he was training a dog. I would do what he said for now but in a minute I would go out and help with the fight.
Danger seemed attracted to me let’s hope it isn’t a permanent thing though…
