DAVE GROHL'S POV:

I hated to see Taylor cry. It wasn't the first time but every time I hope it will be the last. He's not a very emotional guy but when he cried, let me tell you he cried. It took a few minutes of silence and sobbing later for Taylor to recollect himself but when he did, he just started cracking jokes.

I like to think that he just felt so happy to let everything go. It was only 10PM at this point so neither of us felt tired, especially after everything that had happened. "Hey, man," He looked up, a smirk on his face, "Do you fancy headin' out to a bar or something, a distraction if you will?"

My brain immediately says no. The doctors said that alcohol should be kept to a minimum to keep his system from going nuts. But my heart can't ever say no to a night out with Taylor Hawkins. I cherished every fuckin' moment I had with him now so I wasn't going to take his invite for granted. "Fuck yeah"

Taylor jumped in the shower quickly while I put on a different shirt. I put some effort in, a spritz of cologne, combed my hair, after all, this was the first night out we'd had since T had come out and honestly it felt like everything had started again. It's not like I had to refresh my bond with him, but everything around us had reset and had to be built up again. I heard the water stop running in the bathroom next door.

I threw on an old Vans tee and called it a day. Taylor walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist, and oh my lord, he was attractive. "I uh-" I stuttered, I looked up to Taylor's face and he looked sort of embarrassed too. "I'll wait downstairs for you."

I walked down to the kitchen and fixed myself a shot of espresso to keep me alive. That was fuckin' weird. Weird because, I'd seen Taylor completely naked before and never thought twice. Maybe it was the overdose that had opened my eyes to this new found appreciation of Taylor or maybe it was something else but before I could give it second thought, Taylor walked down the stairs.

TAYLOR'S POV:

Fuck. Why did I do that? As I threw my clothes on, I kept thinkin' about Dave's face. Was he embarrassed? Why was he embarrassed? Why was I embarrassed? Whatever. Ever since I came out of the hospital, Dave and I have been different. Good different. But I didn't have time to argue with myself.

I combed my wet hair back and put on some of Dave's fuckin' perfume and walked down the stairs, jacket over my shoulder. As I strutted down the steps of Dave's humble abode, I noticed his eyes follow my every move. "Lookin' at somethin', Grohl?" I asked. I don't know if I would call this 'flirting' but after I said it, it sounded like it was. He immediately smirked, "Just you, Hawkins," He smiled, "Let's go."

We walked out the door and got into the Uber that Dave had ordered while I was in the shower. "Where to?" The driver asked and Dave directed him to the bar nearby the Whiskey Agogo, as I sat in the back and adjusted my hair.

The car stopped just outside the bar and Dave tipped the driver and opened my door. "Why, thank you, Mr Grohl," I said courteously and chuckled. "You're welcome, Mr Hawkins."

Getting to the door, the bouncer asked for ID and I showed him mine. With a picture of my adolescent face, the man said, "Hey, you're the Alanis Morisette drummer aren't you?" With a big smile. "Yeah I am! Nice to meet you man!" I hugged the guy and he asked for a photo so Dave took one on the guy's phone. "Good to see you, dude, head on in."

As we got to the bar, Dave ordered two whiskey cokes, and let me tell you, a night out with Dave doesn't ever end without us being shit-faced and crashin' out at fuckin' 3AM. "Y'know I don't often get recognised from Alanis anymore, dude," I said to Dave as he handed me my drink, taking the first sip of a drink that will never get old. "Yeah, I thought that," Dave also took a sip and the nostalgic feeling appeared on his face.

"This was the first drink we shared together, do you remember?" Dave asked, lookin' in my eyes. "The coma didn't make me forget everything, you asshole," I laughed, "How could I ever forget somethin' like that?"

Hours flew by and many drinks later, we were on the dancefloor like we were 21 again. Lights were blurred, dubstep was blaring and my eyes burned into Dave Grohl's skin. Everything felt fuckin' weak but I was having a whale of a time. My head was throbbing and I knew the hangover the next day would be absolutely fuckin' diabolical.

The music continued to increase in volume but I heard Dave speak to me, "Tay, I missed this," He smiled, "I missed you." The alcohol washed away any filter I had but I knew I wanted to say something. "David Eric Grohl," I said, as he turned to face me, "I love you so fuckin' much."

DAVE'S POV:

I was drunk as fuck, but nowhere near drunk enough to not hear that. Fuck.
