The air in the room felt charged, and Aarohi couldn't shake the feeling that they hadn't seen the last of Aarav. Maya's nervous laughter faded, replaced by a contemplative silence as the weight of the encounter settled in.

"Did that just happen?" Rohan finally said, running a hand through his hair, trying to process the bizarre twist of events. "A ghost just played with us like we were some sort of toys!"

Kavya shuddered, her eyes wide. "I don't care how charming he was! He could have hurt Arjun! This is serious, Aarohi! What if he comes back?"

Aarohi shook her head, feeling an inexplicable connection to the mischievous spirit. "I don't think he meant any harm," she said thoughtfully. "He just... wanted to have fun."

"Fun?" Maya echoed incredulously. "You call nearly getting killed 'fun'?"

"It's not like he killed anyone," Aarohi shot back, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "Maybe we can find out more about him. If he's not haunting us, then maybe he's just... lost."

"Lost? He's a ghost, Aarohi! He's been dead for fifty years!" Arjun interjected, still rubbing his back. "Why would we even want to get involved with him?"

"Because maybe he needs help," Aarohi insisted, her eyes lighting up with determination. "What if there's a reason he's stuck here? We could figure it out together!"

"Or he could just be a dangerous spirit waiting to turn on us!" Rohan warned, crossing his arms as he looked at Aarohi. "What if this is just the beginning? He could come back with more tricks, or worse!"

"Let's not jump to conclusions," Aarohi said, trying to keep the peace. "We can do some research. There might be something in the library about him, or even online. We could find out what happened to him."

"Right, because looking up a ghost sounds like a brilliant plan," Arjun scoffed. "I don't even know where to start."

"I do!" Maya perked up, her fear slowly melting away into curiosity. "My grandma has an old book of local legends. It might have something about Aarav. If we find out how he died, maybe we can help him move on."

The group exchanged glances, their apprehension giving way to a reluctant sense of adventure. Aarohi felt a rush of excitement. "Then it's settled! We'll meet at my place tomorrow evening. We'll dig into this together."

As they began to talk about what they'd need for their research, a shadow flitted across the room, and the atmosphere shifted once more. Aarohi's heart raced as she turned, catching sight of Aarav's shimmering figure lurking just at the edge of the doorway.

"I'm not going anywhere," he said, his voice smooth and playful, like the caress of a summer breeze. "You mortals have piqued my interest. Care to share what you're planning?"

Aarohi froze, her heart racing as the others turned to face him. The moment felt electric, a blend of fear and intrigue hanging in the air.

"Uh, we were just—" Arjun started, but Aarav interrupted him, an amused glint in his eyes.

"Researching little old me? How adorable. But you should know, I'm not as easy to shake as your average ghost. I might just stick around to see how this plays out." He leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, a cocky grin on his face. "I could even offer some insider tips. You know, if you're nice to me."

Aarohi swallowed hard, a mix of excitement and trepidation coursing through her. "Okay, Aarav. But no more tricks. We're serious about this."

"Promise," he replied, his voice dripping with mock sincerity. "Cross my ghostly heart."
