''Hey'' I said, slightly breathless at them coming to me first.
''Hi'' Dan said, with his wobbily knee smile ''We were just heading into town, thought you would wanna come, see Manchester a bit''
''sounds great'' I said grinning ''give me two seconds?'' I went back into my apartment, grabbing my You Me At Six, take off your colours bag and running back.I kept everything in there and I took a breath to calm myself. I was over whelmed at the fact someone wanted to be my friend for once.
We spent all day going from shop to shop, it was depressing as fuck when I realised Britain didn't have Hot Topic. After an hour or so we headed into Starbucks, it was practically deserted so we got the amazing couch seats. We all managed to fit across one sofa, Dan crammed in between me and Phil, his arm across the back of the sofa behind me again. It gave me butterflies. I got nervous way to easily and I sat fidgiting. Pulling the sleeves of my hoodie down over my palms.
We were almost done when Phil practically eblowed him the ribs by accident and his arm feel off the couch and onto my shoulders. I werid warm feeling spread from where his arm was touching me and it made me gasp slighly. Until he lifted it off and it made me feel empty again. I always felt so empty. Phil's phone started to ring from inside his pocket, Uprising by Muse blasting out in the quiet coffee shop. I smiled, I had some fellow Muse fan's then. Me and Dan kept quiet, listening to his side of the conversation.
''Hello?''
''Oh hey mum'' Dan smirked
''Really?''
''Can I not just skip?'' he sighed
''Okay okay, see you later'' He pushed his phone back into his pocket and turned to Dan ''I may have to skip your cousin's wedding''
''Ugh why?'' Dan groaned
''Mum needs me to come home, my brother's home for a few days and I really want to see him as well'' Phil said, Dan sighed, pouting at him.
''Okay, it's fine'' he said then smiled half heartedly
''You could take Ronnie instead?'' Phil suggested, I looked over from the mug in my hands. Which I'd been too awkward to look up from this whole time. Dan turned round to me and gave me a cheesy, hopeful smile. I felt myself blush at his eyes on me.
''I don't know about it...'' I mumbled
''Why not?'' Dan asked
'uh...nothing...I just' I stuttered, I couldn't bring myself to say it. Not to them when I've barely known them anyway. They'd turn away, gagging and running from the hills.
''spit it out Ron'' Dan said, shortening my name like Ash always did, I liked it but it gave me butterflies. I sighed and make up some bullshit about having nothing to wear, which was true but not the main reason. The main reason made my sick to my stomach.
''I can get you something'' Dan shrugged, sipping his latte.
''No, I couldn't ask for that'' I muttered
''If I'm bringing a date I want to show her off'' Dan rolled and I blushed furiously, looking away.
''Okay'' I croaked out
''Well, uh'' Phil said ''I really should go home, got a video to make and everything'' he said, I watched him go and I swear I saw him smirking.
''Come on then'' Dan said standing up
''Where are we going?'' I asked, he grinned at me and grabbed my hand, pulling me to my feet. Butterflies are going to kill me one day.
''To buy you a dress'' he said, I smiled shyly.
