Sabrina's Pov

"Sabrina!" My sister yelled at me through the phone. "Ugh, what?" I mumbled, pulling it a bit away from my ear in case she decided to screech again at seven thirty in the morning.

"What do you mean, 'what?' You said you'd drop max off to school!" She said again, although this time in a quieter tone.

"Oh, shit yeah, sorry, I forgot." I said, running to my closet to put on some acceptable clothes. "Yeah, no shit you forgot! Be here in fifteen minutes." she said, hanging up. I grumbled to myself a bit as I pulled on a white top and some jean shorts. I put on my glasses too and applied a light layer of makeup before running out to the car and driving to Sarah's house.

"God, took you long enough." Sarah said as she opened the door for me. I flipped her off and walked into her kitchen. high fiving my 6 year old nephew and grabbing apple.

"Ready to go, mad max?" I said, taking a bite of the apple. He laughs and runs out the door, to my car. "Goodbye Sabrina." Sarah sighs, and I nod. "Sure sis. Have a good day at work." She nods and groans. "I wish I could say the same to you."

I laugh as we get in the car and I start driving to max's school. He was in kindergarten at a small public school, and he was doing great. Sarah could take him most days, but sometimes she needed me to help out. That would be days like today.

I hadn't had to do it this school year, but I guess things were getting busy for Sarah again. It's fine, just a few early mornings. Usually I would just go to the studio at nine and work until three, but today was my day off.

I pulled into the school parking lot and parked in a spot, expecting him to get out and be fine. "Sabrina, you need to walk me in..." Max grumbled, picking up his backpack and unbuckling himself.

"Oh, alright. Is that a new rule?" I say, getting out of my seat and locking the car. "Yeah, I don't know why." he says back as I walk him up to the school. I get a few shocked looks and I just smile and wave back at the people who I'm guessing are fans.

He turns into a classroom and opens the door, walking in. I follow, not really sure what to do here. The classroom looks exactly as you'd imagine a kindergarten classroom, all bright a fun and colorful.

The teacher smiles at me and walks over. She looks to be about forty or fifty, maybe older than that. "Hello, are you here to drop off Max?" she says, smiling warmly at me.

"Oh, yes I am." I say, smiling right back. "Hey Max! What's up buddy!" I hear from somewhere in the classroom. It sounded like a woman's voice, not a child's.

"I'll go get the sign in sheet for you then." She said, shuffling over to her desk. I take the time to look at max and a girl kneeling next to him. She looks about my age, long y/h/c hair, happy y/e/c eyes and a bright smile as they played with toy cars.

She looks up for a second, realizing my presence and I blush, because I guess I had been staring. She flashes me a grin and says something to max, standing up and walking over.

I use the chance to take her in fully now. She's tall, but everyone is to me. She's wearing a black and white striped shirt, along with dark blue jeans and white sneakers. She's really pretty.

"Hello! Are you Max's aunt?" she says, holding out her hand for me to shake. I smile and take it, blushing a bit. "Yeah, I am. Are you... his teacher?" I ask curiously.

"Haha, no, I'm a training to be one though! I'm kind of a helper teacher." she grins, dropping my hand and shoving hers back in her pockets. "Ah, cool. So... do I just go then?" I ask, still not exactly sure what to do here.
