When Amelia heard that her favourite movie director Luca Guadagino was coming out with a new movie "Queer" and her celebrity crush Drew Starkey was going to be one of the main roles, she was esthatic to say the least.
Amelia admired Lucas work dearly, she loved the way he had different ways of potraying love and making it feel real through the screen, she thought he had a marvelous brain all together and she also admired Drews acting. She started watching Outer Banks when covid hit much like everyone else and she found it very inspiring how his acting grew more raw throughout the show.
She had never met Drew officially even though they had a mutual friend Jonathan who she loved greatly. She mostly only ever saw Drew at events and premieres but he never saw her so she never tried speaking with him.
Today was the day the "Queer" trailer dropped, Amelia made sure her schedule was clear just so she could watch it in peace.
Amelia had just finished her studio session of the day. "I just really think we should stop working on this so much, your voice won't be able to handle it once you go on tour." Katelyn her manager said once they both got to the car.
Amelia sighed with a pout. "I have a deadline Kate, you know that." She said tiredly as she started the engine of her car. Katelyn hummed from the passenger seat. "A deadline you gave yourself might I add, you're putting too much pressure on yourself sweetheart." The older woman said softly with a hint of pity.
"If I don't feel pressure then I'm not doing it right." Amelia said softly before sending her manager a small smile. "I'm okay." The brunette added weakly. Katelyn looked at the younger girl with pity once more. "I never said you weren't."
Amelia dropped Katelyn off before entering her home with a huff. She looked around the big home and maybe it was because she felt so lonely recently that she finally realized how empty the house felt, how empty it was in general. A table for six in the kitchen that had never been filled, two three seater couches in the living room that had never been full, just empty.
Amelia finally made it to her bedroom and groaned when she saw how messy it was, hating herself from three hours ago. She cleaned up some of the mess before having a shower and finally resting on her bed before pulling out her laptop.
She opened the youtube app and her red painted fingertips typed excitedly along the keyboard, "Queer." The trailer had been posted a few hours ago and now she was finally watching it, she pressed play and immediatly was in a trance. The way the trailer of the movie felt was so euphoric and fresh, something she had never seen before. Drew looked as perfect as ever and his character seemed quite shy, she couldn't really gather much from the trailer about what the plot of the movie actually was but she didn't mind since the movie was coming out this november.
After Amelia watched the trailer and posted on her instagram she quickly went to sleep not even bothering to do her skincare or dry her hair since she was so tired.
