Renjun is a senior in high school and an aspiring writer with big dreams. He was tasked by the school paper to write sports news as a final requirement.

It was May 12th of the year 2000, when Jeno set foot at the cafeteria when it was full.
The athletes usually had lunch later than the rest of the school, but this time, he was set to find a certain junior.
The room was bustling and noisy, different types of friend groups were present.
Jeno scanned the room, trying to see if he could spot a familiar face.
"Woah, is that Lee Jeno?"
Upon his entrance, whispers infected the whole cafeteria about Jeno's sudden appearance.
Jeno was so thankful for his height, because any centimeters shorter, he won't be able to see anything with the sea of people.
He finally saw the basketball player sitting with his two friends, Donghyuck and Jisung.
Jeno took quick strides towards them, scaring the hell of out Donghyuck. "You're Chenle, right?"
Chenle looked up to Jeno and nodded, while Jisung beside him held a protective glare.
"What do you need from him?" Jisung asked.
"Are you close with Renjun?"
"Yeah, why?" Chenle nodded while chewing his food.
"We all are." Donghyuck added.
"How come he's not here?" Jeno asked, leaning at them with his hands against the table.
"Well, he's sick, that's why he didn't go to school today." Donghyuck then continued, "You're Jeno, right? What your deal? I know you're making Renjun go crazy, but here you are-" he pointed at Jeno, "obviously concerned. So, tell us, what's your deal?"
Donghyuck and Jeno held intense eye contact, but the taller quickly broke it.
Jeno huffed, "I said some things I didn't mean to him yesterday, so I would like to apologise to your friend, uh-"
Jeno eyed the tanned male.
Donghyuck answered. "Donghyuck. Wait, you met yesterday?"
"Yeah, I took him home from some cafe by the school." The whole table looked at Jeno with teasing glances.
"Why?"
"Nothing." Chenle hid his laughter with a cough, "Look, if you want to apologise, come with us later after school. We'll visit him."
Jeno looked down, "I don't think he's going to want to see me."
"It's about perseverance, Jeno. Like what Renjun has shown you these past few days, now it's your turn." Donghyuck stated as he drank a carton of juice.
