Que sat in his hotel room, exhausted from a long day of handlin' business, but his mind was far from the work. He replayed the video Lena had sent of baby girl, her sweet little voice callin' "Dada" over and over. That tiny voice and the look in her eyes had him feelin' all kinds of ways.

He'd been away too long, and he felt it deep. Bein' out here was necessary, sure, but every day away from them felt like it took a piece of him. They were waitin' for him, countin' on him, and he couldn't wait to get back to holdin' his family close.

Missin' Home

Que lay back on the bed, starin' at the ceiling, thinkin' 'bout Lena and how much she'd been holdin' it down. He knew it wasn't easy for her, takin' care of Amina, missin' him, but she never complained. She kept it strong, always sendin' him little reminders of their love, keepin' him grounded.

He pulled out his phone again, watchin' the video one more time. Amina's smile, her tiny voice callin' for him, had him feelin' like he was right there with them. And Lena's message, "We miss you, baby," hit him hard. He typed out a response, lettin' her know he'd be back soon, that he was doin' this for them.

Talkin' with His Boys

Later, his boy came by the room, seein' him in his quiet mood. "You good, Que?" his friend asked, lookin' at him with that knowin' look.

Que nodded but sighed, rubbin' his face. "Man, I'm just missin' my girls. I got Lena and my baby girl at home waitin' on me. They my whole world, you know? All this... it don't mean nothin' without them."

His friend nodded, understandin'. "I feel that. They keepin' you grounded, remindin' you what's real."

"Exactly," Que said, noddin' slowly. "I'm just tryna get back, tryna wrap this up so I can be there like I'm supposed to. Ain't nothin' out here worth losin' them."

Promises to Himself

That night, Que sat alone, makin' a silent promise to himself. Once he got back, he was makin' moves to give them the life they deserved, one that didn't keep him away like this. He knew Lena wanted that, needed him to be there, and he was ready to start buildin' that future.

As he closed his eyes, he thought 'bout holdin' Lena, hearin' Amina's laughter, and finally feelin' at peace, knowin' he was right where he belonged.
