"So what do you say, death?"

Cass asked the woman, who was standing there in silence, cass felt the woman was taking too long respond so she said what she said.

"Alright, Cassandra. You have a deal, let's go."

Rio said after thinking for a moment before extending her hand to cass who was about to take in before Billy spoke up.

"Don't do this aunt cass."

Billy kind of yelled, Cass looking back at the boy, with a smile on her face.

"Don't worry Billy, I'll be fine. We will meet again."

Cass told the boy with a wink, who suddenly noticed cass no longer had her gloves on.

"Let's go."

Cass started to laugh as she grabbed the woman's hand, death's eyes widening as she realised what the woman was doing.

"No, no. Stop Cassandra."

Rio started to plead with her, but part of her wanted this, she couldn't die but she could get rid of this responsibility.

"What are you doing, Cassie?"

Agatha asked her daughter, she was confused as to what was going on.

"She's taking my place as death."

Rio said, she sounded sort of relieved, Cass tilled her head as she realised that's what the woman had wanted all along.

"That was your plan all along, wasn't it, Rio?"

Cass asked the woman, not stopping what she was doing, Rio immediately dropped the scared act.

"You finally figured it out. Good job, Cassie. I can't keep living like this, so when I found a being capable of taking this from me I had to jump at it. But of course she had to find you first."

Rio kind of laughed, looking at Agatha as she said the last part, Billy was confused yet again.

"What do you mean capable?"

Billy asked the woman, Agatha wanted to pull cass off Rio, stop her daughter from doing this but she was frozen in place.

"Cass here is uniquely qualified to take the part of death. She could be a more fair death than I ever could. You have the ability to give people more time, you just need to use it."

Rio told Billy before turning her attention back to cass, cass shook her head.

"I, I can't do that."

Cass stuttered, she'd almost done it she'd almost become death.

"Yes you can, Cassie. I know you can. You just have to try. Start with the dog maybe."

Rio told cass, suddenly the body of sparky the dog lay next to her feet.

"I, I can't."

Cass shook her head, she was the one who accidentally killed the dog in the first place and she really didn't mean to.

"Yes you can, you can't kill it again just try."

Rio told her, Cass letting go of her hand a brought it down to the dog, closing her eyes at she touched the dog. Suddenly she could hear barking from the dog, opening her eyes to see the dog was very much alive now.

"I, I did it. I really did it."

Cass said honestly shocked that she had just done that, looking up at Rio who had a smile on her face.
