22nd June, 2027

The school bell rung out of no where, making the teacher halt in his seemingly endless lecture on how Japan screwed Korea over during the second world war (ah, history lessons, always fun) and give us a couple of pages to read at homework.
And an assignment.
Which was 7 pages long.

This is what happens when teachers are too stupid to not spend too much time on one subject. We had to catch up to the two other history classes in our grade until the exams, which were at the start of July.

So we got a shitload of homework.
Yay!

Since history was my last class of the day, I packed my bag and took out my rain poncho, because it was raining.
Again.

"Yeol, wanna come to my locker with me?"

I turned to see Baekhyun, my best friend since we started secondary school, still seated with his stuff all over the desk.

I groaned, I wanted to get home asap, and Baekhyun was known for his love of being as slow as fuck. He always took his sweet time, which made it even more aggravating when his results were perfect. Which they pretty much always were.

"Does it actually matter if I want to, or are you going to drag me there anyway?"

Baekhyun threw me a cheeky smile.

"I think you know the answer to that question yourself, Yeol."

"Fine, but then hurry the hell up!"

He laughed his cute little toddler laugh, which made me laugh.
Do you know when someone's laugh is just too ridiculous, so you have to laugh along? Yipp, that's Baekhyun and me. I think he giggles like a school girl and, according to him, I have a "derpy seal-laugh".

Baekhyun started to pack his schoolbag, but since his speed was too slow for my liking, I decided to take things in my own hands.

I grabbed his messenger bag and started to stuff his folders and pencil case into random openings.

"NO! That doesn't go there!"
"Stop it!"
"My tidiness, you're ruining it!"

I decided to ignore Baekhyun's shouts of protest as I finished up his bag and swung it around my shoulder.

"Race you to the lockers?"

He grinned again and stretched a bit, letting a big yawn escape his mouth.

"A little exercise would probably not hurt. I've been sitting on this uncomfortable as fuck chair of torture for more than an hour listening to "evil Japanese people" stories. Japanese people are hot, look at Kangnam!"

"Who?"

Baekhyun looked at me, right eyebrow raised in a sassy manner, then as my facial expression didn't change from confusion, he sighed.

"We really need to work on your Kpop skills, for you have none, child."

"Hey, I know SHINee!"

"Oh please, name me three members."

He said dismissively, waving his hand.

"Minho's the tall rapper dude, Key's the one everyone would totally bang, Onew's the leader who's voice cracks the entire time, Jonghyun's the dude probably banging Key and Taemin's the dude who used to be cute and now goes shirtless half of the time."

All in one breath, bitch!
As I got my oxygen back, I half smirked at Baekhyun's amazed facial expression.

"Wow, I couldn't have done it better myself! Where did you learn all that?"

"Uhm, a friend?"

The awnser turned into more of a question. The first time writing with 'Tim' had been six days ago, and I had spent an incredibly great amount of time with my phone, chatting with him for the following days. That, incidentally, was also the reason why I wanted to get home quickly.

I wasn't exactly sure if one could call us friends. We hadn't even met.
That, of course, didn't change the fact I had a gigantic crush on him...

Life is confusing.

"What's with that question mark there? Do I know this person?"

Baekhyun's eyebrow was back up as he stared at me confusedly.

Oh dammit. I hadn't told Baekhyun about 'Tim' whatsoever. I was positive he wouldn't approve, he would just warn me not to continue and nag and nag and nag.

"Nodon'tthinkso. Let's go!"

I awnsered hurriedly, grabbing him by the arm and running to the door.

"Gonna beat you there!"

"I don't think so, Park!"

He replied, giggling again.

In the end, one can't really say that either of us one, since we both had to stop running halfway. We were really not in shape. It was kinda pathetic.

After chatting away with Baekhyun at his locker and helping him reorganise his bag, he asked me if I wanted to go get ice cream.

"Dude, it's still March! Maybe when it's not hella cold outside."

He scrunched up his nose at me, a confused look on his face as he gazed up (I was a lot taller than him... I was a lot taller than a lot of people), peering into my face.

"If I may remind you, it was YOU who wanted ice cream while Christmas shopping, and at new years eve, and pretty much at every other opportunity. What's up?"

I stayed silent, not really knowing how to reply. I had never ever lied to Baekhyun. Ever! And I wasn't about to start.

"Oh my god, you're not telling me something!"

His eyes grew in size as realisation popped up in his features.

"Does this have to do with mystery person? Do you have a date???"

"Park Chanyeol, awnser me!"

"You're blushing!"

I had frozen.

This wasn't dating, right? I mean, we both knew the other was gay, we both were Korean, and I had told him more about me than any other person (including Baekhyun).
Was it?
Did he even think of me like that?

"I- I don't know..."

Baekhyun seemed to notice I was in some sort of shock, cause he dropped the subject with a curt nod and a look which screamed "you are sooo not off the hook, Yeol".
