one last short story before the final chaptercrazy.

It was snowing. Zhao never paid attention to the weather, nor did he gaze at it like he did now. How come he never noticed how beautiful snow could be? As he watched the snowfall from the balcony window, thinking endless thoughts of this and that, his daze was interrupted as he heard someone stumble around
He knew he couldn't walk as well, but Jin tried anyway. He hated being alone in the room, especially when Zhao was enjoying his time without him. When he looked over to see his stumbled body on the couch, Jin cleared his throat.
"....What're you doing by the window?" his cherry eyes flickered down to the can of beer the other held. Damn, he wanted some.
"Drinking and admiring the view," Zhao set the can down on the coffee table, "you want a can, too?" He knew Jin didn't usually drink, but there were rare moments of them being drunk together.
A faint smile crept onto his lips, "Sure, but let's drink something sweeter.." He didn't know how Zhao could stand drinking those cans, they were so bitter that even the smell made his nose scrunch.
"Fine, fine. I'll go get your soju stash" Gods he wished he had enough time to take the other to Korea. He knew how much he loved that place, especially the sweet drinks.

After getting a bottle of the sweet beer, along with two shot glasses, Zhao sat beside the other on the couch. His full focus was on him now, and he couldn't help but think this view was better than the one outside. It was nice to see Jin so happy, even though it was because of the soju.
Jin already drunk a few shots, it was as if he had forgotten how much of a lightweight he truly was. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he whined, "Haoyu, I think I'm already drunk..."
He couldn't stop the chuckle that slipped past his lips, "Really?"
"Yeah...."
"...I'm glad," Zhao reached out for another shot. Unlike the latter, he was able to drink enough shots without getting tipsy. It felt like a blessing.
...What? Jin's cherry eyes flickered to Zhao's, "You're glad...?" he slurred in confusion. Why was he glad about such a thing?
"Yeah, I am," he returned the other's gaze, "I can speak my mind now. There's... a lot I want to say." Though, he didn't notice the nervous look he got. Maybe he was getting tipsy already...
"Like what? You wanna say I'm pretty or something?" Jin tried to cope with his nervousness with some humor, but when Zhao shook his head, he couldn't help but clench the shot glass as he took another sip of soju. Gods, he couldn't believe how afraid he was.
"Then... What is it?"
He sighed and took another shot, "...I don't want you to leave me. I.. don't want you to die." He took a deep breath as he finally noticed how Jin stared at him. He watched as the other's gaze softened from his nervous state to a saddened one. Shit, was he saying something wrong?
Zhao took another deep breath, "I want you to stay here," he continued, "with me. I don't care what happens, I need you..." Why was it so hard to admit his feelings?
Jin already felt the tears falling from the corner of his eyes as he did his best to wipe them away, "Haoyu, I think I-I'm going to sober up.."
"Huh? Don't, I'm not even done...."
"...I-I'm joking, just keep talking. Please."
The room went pin-drop silent. He needed to gather his thoughts, to think of the words that described how he felt. Zhao's hand reached out, intertwining his fingers with the other's. His thumb ran across his knuckles, caressing it gently. Then, he whispered, "I... I want to marry you, to see you walk down the aisle and say 'I do,'" he sighed, "just so I can say it back."
"Maybe... Maybe after we get married, we could adopt a kid. We can take care of them together, give them a better life..." He didn't want them to have a life in the streets, especially how they lived.
"...Let's adopt a girl," Jin whispered back, "so I can braid her hair.."
He chuckled softly at the comment and lightly squeezed the latter's hand. Then, he was silent again. It was hard to keep this up, to yap without sobbing. Did fate have to take him away..? "I... I want you see you with grey hair, to see you grow wrinkles. I want to grow old with you, Jin. I-I want to see you as an old cranky grandpa, but gods you'll probably look so young and beautiful still..."
Jin felt the tears run trails down his face, tickling his skin and causing it to tingle. He didn't bother to wipe them away, knowing there was no point to anymore. "You'll probably look younger than me, and handsome..." Why did he have to make this so hard..?
"But you'll still be more handsome-" his voice was cut off as he felt the other's palm pressed against his lips.
"Stop... I might sober up this time..."
"Fine, fine," he pulled his hand away from his mouth, "I said what I wanted, anyway," Zhao then leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to Jin's cheek, enjoying the way his face flushed red as he muttered, "I love you, I always have and always will..."
Jin burst out crying at the moment from the overwhelming emotions that built up from Zhao's endless words and actions of affection. He reached out to bury his face into his chest, soaking the other's shirt with his endless tears and wrapping his arms around his shoulders. Gods he didn't want to die, he didn't want to leave Zhao behind.
"....I-I love you too, Zhao..." he whispered, his voice shattering as he sobbed.
