Orko's Love, Hope and Family

Chapter 6 Nine-eighteen Months old

Hannah was soon nine months old and she was crawling like a pro. She spent a lot of time crawling around. Everyone at the palace had watch where they stepped, Hannah tended to be underfoot.

But she was cute and happy to say the least. She was giggling as she crawled around and cooed. Orko and Dree Elle loved the a fact their little girl was now crawling.

Hannah was meeting all of her milestones still. She was very playful baby and loved to play. Orko and Dree Elle loved Hannah very much.

During that time one night Hannah started to cry. "I will check on her," Orko said. Then he went into the nursery. He picked Hannah up. "Come here baby," he said. Hannah was crying and fussing and rubbing at her left ear. "Oh is your ear hurting you?" he cooed. Then he felt her forehead. "Ooh you have a fever too I think," he said. "I better take your temperature," he said. He took Hannah's temperature. "Okay it's a fever," he said looking. "I better give you some infants Tylenol," he said. He gave her the recommended dose. "There you go that should help sweetie," he said.

Then he sat in the rocking chair with her in his arms and started to rock. "Don't worry Daddy's not going anywhere," Orko cooed. "He will stay here with you," he said. For the rest of the night he sat up with Hannah in the nursery to make sure she was okay.

Dree Elle woke up the next morning and saw Orko hadn't come back to bed. She came to the nurse and saw him with Hannah who was crying and rubbing at her ear. "It's okay sweetie," Orko cooed. "I know it hurts," he cooed.

"Is everything alright?" Dree Elle asked coming over.

"Hannah has an earache and a fever," Orko said. "I think something might be wrong, I stayed here all night with her," he said.

"Oh darling, you are such a wonderful father," Dree Elle said kissing him. "I think we should take her to one of the healers to see what is wrong," she said.

"Good idea," Orko said.

Hannah was seen by Ziki. "Okay I am looking in her left ear right now," Ziki said. "Ah she has an ear infection I see it is red and swollen in there and there is fluid in there," she said. "Luckily it is easy to treat," she said. "We just give her medicine to treated the infection and give her infants Tylenol for the pain and fever," she said. "It is that simple," she said.

"Thank you so much," Dree Elle said.

Orko and Dree Elle were happy know it was going to be alright now. They gave Hannah her medicine as prescribed to help Hannah's ear feel better. They were happy to help their tiny daughter feel better. Soon after a few days the infection cleared up and Hannah was back to her cheerful self.

By the time she was 10 months old Hannah had figured how to pull herself into a standing position. Not only that she was pulling herself along on the furniture as she floated. It was similar to how human babies cruise.

"Look at her go," Orko said.

"Yes," Dree Elle said.

Before everyone knew it Hannah was a year old. "Happy first birthday Hannah," Orko said.

"Happy first birthday Hannah," Dree Elle said.

"Happy birthday Hannah," everyone said.

Hannah giggled and stuffed the cake into her mouth. She was getting the cake and frosting all over her face and clothes.

"That is too cute," Marlena said.

"How precious," Unzo said seeing his little granddaughter enjoy her birthday cake.

"Reminds me of Teela's first birthday," Man at arms said.

"Dad not now," Teela said.

Hannah was getting all messing. "Look she is even getting it on her ears," Ilyne said laughing.

"That is so cute," Seagg said.

"It is cute to watch a little baby enjoy her food." Kyren said.

Soon after the celebration Hannah was given a bath.

A few weeks later Hannah was learning how to levitate. First it was short distances to her parents, or from two people who were in the palace. Soon she was levitating all over the place. Hannah was very curious and was very busy.

Luckily her parents instructed how to properly baby proof the palace for a baby Trollan. It was much relief for everyone to say the least.

When Hannah was 14 months old she was playing around. She was playing with one of her toys. Orko handed her a ball to play with. "Here is your orange ball," Orko said handing to her.

"Ball," Hannah said bouncing it.

Orko was in shock. "Dree Elle, Hannah talked!" Orko said.

Dree Elle came over. Orko pointed the ball in Hannah's hands. "Hannah what is this?" Orko asked as he pointed at the ball.

"Ball," Hannah said.

"Hannah said ball," Dree Elle said. "She can talk," she said.

As months went by Hannah learned more words. She could say mama, dada, ball, Adam, book, cuddle, bottle, and up for examples. Hannah was growing into a fine child. Orko and Dree Elle were both so happy about this. They loved their daughter and how much she was growing.

Hannah was soon eighteen months old. Her face was now hidden. She was floating all over the place and saying and learning new words. "Dada!" Hannah said pulling on Orko's robe.

"Hello Hannah," Orko said seeing his tiny daughter reaching up to him. Then he picked her up. "You are becoming such a big girl," he said holding her close.

"Dada love you," Hannah said.

"I love you too," Orko said.

Then Dree Elle came in and held on to her husband and daughter. They were all so happy right now.
