In the months I haven't posted, I've been thinking about the subjects I can discuss in this book and I came to realize that most of the things I want to discuss were never so addressed in Riverdale.

Hiram and Hermione's relationship was an aspect that wasn't addressed in Riverdale in a proper way, and just a few of the fans questioned if what the series presented the authentic story of both characters. But, watching Riverdale again and again, made me realize that some aspects about their dynamic don't connect at some point, and some of the were just to make more audience.

In this chapter, we'll be taking about Hiramione's relationship as we all know based on what happen during from season 1 to 5! Hope you'll like it and don't hesitate to show support! It really motivates me to know that someone appreciates my work! Enjoy!

Before I dive into the subject a little deeper, I want to mention that for each season I will present two main events that had a contribution to Hiram and Hermione's decline or evolution, and what are my thoughts about each of them particularly. ( It's more that fine that you have different opinions than mine's, and I am very open to hear another perspective than my own!)

SEASON 1

1) Hermione's affair with Fred

I wanted to start off with force by talking about Hermione and Fred's affair. If you are going to ask one random Riverdale fan they'll say you that those two were so in love, and that's why they slept together, even though they were both married. But, if you are asking me, this whole situation it was in Hermione's benefit.

She was teaming up with Hiram all the time in season 1, wanting to make Fred part of their plan, this being showed later in season 2. And for those who suppose that Hiram wasn't even bothered that his wife slept with another man while he was in prison, you should take a look at the scene when he sent a group of guys to break down Fred's equipment. This sequence is from episode 8 of season 1, and for me it really showed that Hiram was so enraged about what happened, and especially on Fred, the affair with his wife probably was a cause for his actions against Archie.

In addition to this, Hermione had a scene in season 1 ( I don't remember exactly the episode, but at the end of the season) when she calls Hiram while he was still in prison, and explains him all the things she did, including Veronica's forged signature, and I suppose the affair with Fred. Their bond is admirable, they were always a team. Everything they did was in their advantage, and that didn't made their relationship decrease. And an interesting fact this scene showed is that Hermione is not afraid ( like anyone says ) of Hiram, and that she was honest with him, their trust for each other was very important aspect.

2) Hiram's return

Most of the fans, I think, will not agree with me when I say that Hermione looked a little bit grateful that Hiram was coming home after the time he spent in prison. Maybe, deep in her heart, she really cared about her husband, telling Veronica that her father return is good news. Moreover, the hope that the three of them can be a family again really shows that Hiram and Hermione were able to recover the lost time, and to do all the necessary things to be close like they used to be while they were living in New York.

SEASON 2

1) Mayor Hermione

We all know those episodes of season 2 when all the action revolves around the rivalry between Hermione and Fred based on the election for mayor. When the Black Hood was shooting at the debate, most of the fans suppose that was Hiram's action against Hermione. I really don't believe that is true because Hiram didn't have a motive for shooting his own wife who was making sacrifices for him, but instead I think he wanted by this plan to kill Fred once and for all because he didn't conformed to their plan.

Also, Hermione didn't let this event mess up their plans because they worked too hard, and she continues to run for mayor from my point of view because she looked more trustful in the eyes of the citizens of Riverdale than Hiram, and she did that to help her husband achieve the highest power in town.

2) Small Fry's death

When Hermione killed the son of one of Hiram's associates, in season 2 episode 21, it was the scene before the final one when Hiram comes home, and seeing Andre dead, makes him worried about his wife and daughter. This sequence made me realize that Hiram did had an unquestionable love for Hermione and Veronica and he didn't want any harm affect them.

SEASON 3

1) Hiram's  " mysterious mistress "

Here we are in season three and with one of the biggest aberrations from Riverdale, Hiram's so called mysterious ( not so mysterious ) mistress.

First of all, in Riverdale was never mentioned before that Hiram had a mistress, and never after season 3 episode 11. He will always be, for me, a loyal man to Hermione and I have motives why I believe all of this mistress thing is an aberration.

In the first place, Hermione was not affected at all when Jughead made her confess that Hiram had an affair, and I believe her indifference is caused by the trust she has in her husband, that they are always a team, and that they can achieve everything they want even though that includes an affair in their benefit, and without any feelings.

Beside the fact that this affair was never addressed again and didn't have any solid and believable causes and consequences, the series wouldn't change if this thing Hiram had with another woman didn't existed.

Finally, this mistress of Hiram was meant to be a source of interest for the fans, and should have grown the audience giving the to the fact that this "mysterious mistress" was played by the actual wife of the actor...that says a lot, in my opinion.

2) Hiram and Hermione's separation

While Hiram was in hospital from being shot, during season 3 episode 11 it is revealed that Hermione wanted to take revenge on him by selling his drugs. A few episodes later, they decide that it is better to divorce ( which was more like a separation than a proper divorce), but this decision was perceived differently: Hermione thought that selling Hiram's drugs was the motive, but on the other hand, Hiram felt betrayed by her for trying to kill him twice, considering this a cause for their divorce in season 3.

Even though they both decided that divorcing was the best solution, looking closer you see that neither of them was happy about it. I wasn't a fan of Riverdale in 2018 ( during season 3) and I am so upset that I didn't live that epic Riverdale era between season 1 to 4, but I would have loved to see fans reactions towards this moment. Mostly of the opinions about Hiram and Hermione's marriage were always revolving around concepts such as toxicity, manipulation, and " Hermione should leave Hiram once and for all".

Seems to me that there was a piece of love between them, due to their unexpected pain when they were about to separate again. In addition to this, Hiram still protected Hermione which really shows to me that his feelings for her never faded away.

A/N: I can't believe that I wrote 1272 words! I had this draft for a while, and it is not finished yet, but I am so curious about your opinions on it!! It remains me to write about the events from season 4 and 5 to finish this part of the book. I don't know when I will update next, as I said it before is a full school year for me, and I don't have so much time to post. But, looking at the bright side, I have some one shots with Hiramione in drafts that with a little bit of modifications will be perfect to post. Would you like a new one shot with them? Tell me so I can make time to post some of them!

Your Hiramione obsessed,

Alex ❤
