JUNE LAID QUIETLY while everyone slept. She couldn't sleep. Her mind was too active for her to sleep. Vecna and his hellish eyes haunted her every time she closed her eyes. It was useless, so she waited and thought about their current predicament.

Time seemed to slow down as she battled her exhaustion. It was a fight that she lost after some time. She fell asleep after a while. She woke up only a couple hours later, hearing Eddie Munson.

She rubbed around her eyes, cursing herself for putting makeup on yesterday. Nancy must've picked up the walkie because when June sat up she heard her voice.

June looked around the room and noticed was missing at almost the same time Nancy noticed.

"Dustin!" Nancy shouted, successfully waking him up. "Wake up! Aren't you supposed to be watching Max?"

"Yep, yep, yep. Sorry," Dustin apologized while June got herself up. She looked back at Steve as he stirred. "She was there a second ago. I swear, I just dozed off for... an hour."

Nancy and Dustin ran upstairs while June woke Steve up. She knew Max was okay. It would've came up in a dream. It always did.

Steve opened his eyes and smiled when he seen his girlfriend hovering above him.

"You're quite the snorer, have I told you?" June teased and he chuckled, sitting up and groaning.

"Only about every night I sleep over," He smiled. It was then in that moment, she felt safe. It was a rare feeling given this monster lurking.

The feeling would last for only a minute longer before Nancy, Dustin and Max came downstairs.

GETTING OUT OF the car, June had stared up at the Creel house with undeniable anxiety as they all piled out of the car. Her stomach swirled worry. The presence of evil lurked amongst them. She swallowed her fears and walked forward when Steve laced their fingers.

If shit were to go down, she'd be able to do more than any of them, but the feeling of everyone along with this house was overwhelming.

Steve pulled out a hammer as they neared the door. June waved him off and stared at the door. The nails fell to the porch with ease. The piece of wood fell forward, revealing the door.

June let out a breath before wiping her nose. Steve raised his eyebrow at the girl. He went to open the door, only for it to be locked. His girlfriend stepped forward and he stopped her.

"Should I knock and see if anyone's home?" Steve quizzed.

"No need. I found a key," Robin held up a brick. She looked to June. "You should save your energy."
