It was Thursday!
Tomorrow will be Sarah's nikah. Everything was done, invitations sent, gifts arranged, outfits ready, caterers called, if anything that's missing was happiness.
Everyone tried their best to look happy and excited but no one actually was. That included Sarah too. And what made her mood sour the most was Haider's absence.
Haider was supposed to arrive early in the morning but due to bad weather his flight was delayed. Sarah have clearly told her brothers that she won't be getting married without Haider, no matter what. And they understood her too. Haider himself was restless there, calling every hour to check on Sarah and others.
While Hoorain have came back to Hameed House for Sarah's nikah leaving Waqas under the care of one of his younger brother and a male nurse.
" Sarah, tumhari friends aane wali thi na aaj?" Hoorain asked as Sarah looked at her startled. She was zoned out.
(Sarah, your friends were supposed to come today right?)" Huh?? Haan-haan. Aayengi, thhodi der me." Sarah nodded as she slowly processed what Hoorain asked.
(Yes-yes. They will come, in a while.)" Beta kya baat hai? Main boht der se dekh rhi hun tum kisi khayal me gum ho. Kya soch rhi ho?" Hoorain gently asked her.
(Child what's the matter? I'm noticing since a while that you're lost in some thoughts. What are you thinking?)" Pta nhi fuffi. Kuch soch nhi rhi hun, bss zehn muntashir hai boht." Sarah said delicately.
(Don't know fuffi. I'm not thinking anything, just my mind is really scattered.)" It's okay. I understand. It's all because of the nikah. Nothing to worry about, this all is so sudden for you to get habitual and accept it. So this reaction is very much understandable. But again sweetie, don't let it bother you. You have all of us here, your family and friends are with you. Share with us if something is bothering you. Okay?" Hoorain said as she gently caressed her hair.
" Yes Fuffi." Sarah smiled a little and nodded.
" My sweet child." Hoorain caressed her cheeks after kissing her forehead.
" Ohh, I haven't prayed yet. Main apne room me jaun fuffi??" Sarah asked hurriedly.
(Can I go in my room fuffi??)" Yes sure." Hoorain smiled nodding.
Sarah rushed straight to her room. Doing her ablution she grabbed her prayer mat and started praying.
As she raised her hand to make dua, no words left her lips. She didn't knew how to express what she felt. Sarah keep sitting their with her hands raised and eyes closed, she recited the surahs and verses she remembered. Once done with that her lips started moving on their own. She just poured open her heart to the one who created it, the one who cares for it, the one who mends it, and the one who loves it the most.
After done with her dua, Sarah stood up and completed her prayer. Then folding her prayer mat, Sarah turned to place it back when her door bursted open making her turn around hastily.
" Finallyyyyy!!" Sarah loudly said relieved after seeing the person.
" You won't believe." The person said entering the room and falling on her couch tiredly.
" What? And your shoesss." Sarah glared hard and the person quickly took off their shoes throwing it out of the room.
" I came walking! I covered 20 km with my own feet walking and running!" The person exasperated.
