The fate of all Inklingkind hangs in a hidden balance as a secret war between the New Squidbeak Splatoon and the eight Elite Octobeak Squadrons threatens to turn life on the surface upside down. It's all up to three Inklings and their Octoling archr...
Sasha clung onto the bar in the Megalodontia's mouth as tight as she could. She had no idea how long she had been there, but she had stopped hearing the cries for help from the Inklings down below her in the Megalodontia's stomach hours ago. In the eerie silence, Sasha knew she was alone. Her whole body hurt from barely moving. Any kind of muscle movement and Sasha knew that she would slip from the bar down into the belly of the Megalodontia. She had to stay alive. She had to see her family again, to tell them she was okay. Sasha gave a frightened yelp as the Megalodontia surfaced with a mighty roar. Her grip slipped slightly and Sasha found herself about to plummet into the darkness. The Inkling quickly grabbed onto the bar with her tentacles. Sasha looked down as she dangled over her doom. The Megalodontia suddenly flopped over onto its belly with an agonized cry, causing Sasha to swing wildly from the bar. Her tentacles slipped and Sasha landed on the King Salmonid's tongue with a startled scream. She froze, hoping the massive fish didn't feel her land and decide to have a snack during...whatever was going on. Sasha lay still for several terrified heartbeats before slowly sitting up. A massive rush of air breezed past her before turning deathly still. The Megalodontia went silent. It took Sasha a moment to realize what had happened. Something - or someone - had killed the Megalodontia. Sasha shakily stood up and made her way to the dead king's massive teeth, peering through the small gaps between each ink-stained tooth.
"This Megalodontia is HUUUUGE!" exclaimed a voice in awe.
"I didn't think Daisy could call in a King Salmonid, to be completely honest," came another voice.
"I don't get why we're always the ones called in to deal with the big Salmonids," complained another voice.
"Our two squadrons are the strongest physically," explained a fourth voice as she came closer to the Megalodontia's jaws. "Eddison, you get one side, I'll get the other."
"You got it," came the second voice.
"What all do you think we'll find in its belly?" asked a fifth voice.
"Inkling clothes, duuuh," came a sixth voice. "What do you think it eats?" At that moment, the owners of the second and fourth voices lifted up the mighty Megalodontia's jaws, prying them open with their bare hands. Their red eyes met Sasha's, and the three stared at each other for a startled heartbeat. Then Sasha took her chance of escaping certain death by digestion and dove out of the dead Megalodontia's mouth.

"AYYYYYYIE!!!" Sasha screamed as she launched herself to freedom. Shouts of surprise came from the Inkling-like creatures present.
"WHAT THE-" exclaimed a red-eyed pink Inkling-like creature, watching as Sasha sprinted down a corridor.
"Get that squid!" ordered the indigo-haired creature. He and the pink creature hopped down from the Megalodontia's mouth and chased after Sasha. Sasha kept running. She didn't know where she was, but she knew she had to keep running. The feeling of her life depending on it crawled up her back. Sasha dared a peek over her shoulder. About a dozen of the unfriendly-faced creatures were now in pursuit, and they were gaining on her fast.
