The conference room at Bennett Innovations' Los Angeles office gleamed with modern sophistication. Floor-to-ceiling windows cast golden light over sleek marble surfaces, while a digital display looped videos of the company's milestones. Rosalind adjusted her blazer and stole a glance at Margot Crawford, who stood beside her, tapping a pen against her notepad.

"Relax, Margot," Rosalind said softly. "He's a designer, not a corporate shark."

Margot raised an eyebrow. "We'll see. Just because you liked his street photography doesn't mean he can sell luxury."

Before Rosalind could respond, the door swung open. Elliot Harlow stepped inside, a polished leather bag slung casually over his shoulder. His silver hair caught the light, and his warm smile immediately eased the tension in the room. He was dressed smartly but not overly formal—an artist who took his craft seriously but refused to blend into the corporate world.

"Miss Bennett, thank you for having me," Elliot said, extending a hand.

"Please, call me Rosalind," she replied, shaking his hand. "And this is Margot Crawford, our marketing director."

Margot gave a curt nod. "Welcome. Let's see what you've got."

As the team settled in, Elliot began presenting his portfolio on the screen. His work was bold yet refined, combining dramatic storytelling with minimalist elegance. His past projects showcased everything from avant-garde magazine spreads to intimate, high-fashion campaigns.

Margot leaned forward, her skepticism fading. "This is impressive. I can see how your vision could elevate our brand."

Elliot's smile widened, but his focus remained on Rosalind. "I'm glad you think so. I've always believed that visuals should tell a story, especially for a luxury brand."

Rosalind nodded, her green eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Exactly what I was hoping to hear. Bennett Innovations is built on storytelling—our legacy in raw materials is just the beginning. This product line represents our next chapter, and I want every element, including the visuals, to reflect that."

Elliot glanced at the digital display showing Bennett's logo and past achievements. "You're leading the company into this new chapter?"

"Not officially yet," Rosalind admitted. "But as future CEO, it's my responsibility to ensure we transition successfully."

Elliot's expression shifted slightly, a mix of admiration and curiosity. "That's... ambitious. But I can see why you're passionate about it."

Margot, sensing the connection building between them, cleared her throat. "Let's focus on the project. Elliot, can you give us a rough idea of how you'd approach this campaign?"

Elliot pulled out his tablet and began sketching, narrating his thought process as he worked. His ideas seamlessly blended sustainability and luxury, capturing Rosalind's vision while adding his unique flair. The team nodded in approval as Margot took detailed notes.

After an hour of discussion, Rosalind glanced at Margot. "I think we've seen enough to proceed."

Margot stood, addressing the team. "Let's step out and discuss next steps while Rosalind and Elliot iron out a few creative details."

The team shuffled out, leaving Rosalind and Elliot alone.

Elliot sets his tablet aside and leans back in his chair, more at ease now that the formalities are over. "So, Miss Bennett—sorry, Rosalind—how much creative freedom are we talking here?"

Rosalind smiled, "Very much. Let's go indulge ourselves a cup of coffee first."

The Los Angeles sun shone brightly as Rosalind and Elliot stepped into a nearby café. It was quieter than the bustling Bennett Innovations offices, offering a moment of respite. Rosalind had chosen this café intentionally, appreciating its understated elegance and the privacy it afforded.
