"you're an awesome friend Y/N" says Lizzie.
"I try for you" I reply as I comb my fingers thru her hair.
She smiles up at me and just cuddles into me.
I'm scared to admit but I'm falling for her and it's so damn scary, but when she's like this with me...I don't have a care in the world.
"I won't be home tonight, I'm going out with a friend for a drink" she says drawing circles on my arm.
"M'kay, just be safe please" I say looking down at her while she's not paying attention.
"I've mentioned Robbie to you, haven't I?" she says.
Robbie? Who the fuck is Robbie now?
Wait, no...
"You haven't? Who's he?" I say looking into her eyes.
"Well... we've been talking and...flirting and... he's really nice. He has a band...he's a gentleman..."
The way she talks about him...I wish I made her that happy.
"Is he your boyfriend or?" I ask.
"No... Not yet at least" she whispers the second part.
Fuck, she likes him.
Gosh I feel stupid now.
Relax Y/N...be a friend...
"Well I hope it goes well" I say lacking that excitement in my voice when I talk with her.
She hums and nuzzles into my neck and just clings.
"Everything okay Lizzie?" I say holding her.
She hums and nods saying it's cramps.
I held her closer and just held her.
"When's your date?" I ask.
"8 pm. Why?" She says
"It's 7, you should go get ready" I say.
She nods and goes to her room.
It's been 40 minutes and she comes down in a beautiful wine red silk dress with straps over her shoulders. Her hair wavy and cascading down her shoulders.
"Lizzie...you look amazing" I say admiring her.
"Yeah? You think so?" She says nervously.
"You are...gosh you're beautiful..." I say admiring her and looking up and down.
"Robbie must be lucky to have you..." I say and smile at her. She blushes and dips her head and mutters a small "thanks"
A car honk interrupts our conversation. She walkes out and I see the guy. Robbie fucking Arnette.
You have to be kidding me...
He stole three girls from me in high school and bullied me.
I see his smile as he looks at Lizzie...he did that fucked up smile always. He looks at me and I see his eyes light up with recognition.
"Y/N! Dude long time no see! How have you been?" He says hugging me. I hug him back and pat his back.
I see Lizzie looking at us but with... jealousy? Is she jealous I'm hugging her boyfriend?
"I've been good Arnette. You? How's the band going? I've been to your concert back in Missouri. It was awesome dude."
We just chat for a bit and then they go. I go back into the house and sit on the couch. I'm so bored.
I get an idea.
I take out my phone and text the only person I know will always come.
"Come over, I've got wine" :Me
?: "I'll be there in 5 minutes"
