Sarai's POV
We're making our way along a ridge of a canyon as enemy tanks fire on us. We are firing back, but we can't get a good shoot as they have the higher ground. They manged to destroy mine and Master Windu's walker, luckily none of our troops were killed. But we were forced to take cover.
"We're pinned down" the commander says.
"Commander, bring out the Lightning squad" Windu orders as he lowers down the injured walker pilot.
"I got it" I tell them. "We need lighting up here now!" I order through the comms. I look out the down walker, we're sitting ducks with it blocking our path.
"Get the injured back. I'm gonna clear the road with Sarai" Windu tells the clones. He and I go to the walker. We look at each other and nod. We use the force to push the broken empty walker into the canyon below.
Just then Lighting squad appears. "All yours general" a trooper says and gets off the all terrain recon walker. Windu gets onto it.
"Sarai stay here with the rest of the troops, we'll lead the way" Windu tells me.
"Save us some clankers" I tell him.
"No promises" he says and leaves with lighting squad.
"You heard Master Windu, forward" I tell the troops and the commander repeats the command. The enemy focuses on Master Windu's squad, allowing us safe passage onto open terrain. We managed to take care of the tanks. "How many brothers did we lose?" I ask the commander.
"32, I think, including command crews of 3 walkers" he says and I sigh. Saying a silent prayer. "The good news is, General Kenobi's broken their lines. We have a clear path straight to the capital now" he states.
"That's something at least" I say.
"This battle was costly. We're going to need help to take the city" Windu states.
"We should report to the council, maybe they can send us some back up" I suggest.
"Good thinking Sarai" he says with a smile and we return to the main group. We call a meeting with Skywalker, Yoda, an Admiral, the chancellor and the leader of Ryloth.
"What's your progress, Skywalker?" the Chancellor asks.
"My fighters have secured control of the space around Ryloth. We have the Separatist cruisers on the run" he states.
"Very good, General Skywalker" the chancellor praises. I bring up an image of Ryloth.
"Master Kenobi has taken the Jixuan desert, so the southern hemisphere is ours" Windu states.
"Then it's almost over" the leader of Ryloth states.
"Afraid not, there's still one major obstacle" I tell him and bring up the image of the capital city.
"The key position is the capital of Lessu. Our spies are certain the Separatist leader Wat Tambor has his command center there" Windu explains.
"When taken the city we have, capture Tambor we must" Yoda tells us.
"It won't be so easy, there is only one way in and one way out" I tell him.
"She's right" Windu agrees with me and brings up an image of the bridge. "Tambor has chosen
his stronghold well. This plasma bridge is the only way in or out" he explains.
"I'm afraid a siege could drag on indefinitely" the chancellor states.
"My people have suffered so much already" the leader of Ryloth tells us.
