In The Afterlife.
Caroline looked between the TV and Elijah, who was trying to avoid her gaze, Klaus tilted his head to the side while looking at his brother and said "How come you never mentioned that Elena bumped into you when you got your memory back?" Elijah shrugged his shoulders and said "You never asked, plus I always wondered why she was running and how she ended up where I was, now I know" Caroline was looking at the TV when she said "That's why she looked like she had ran, she was running from a witch that thought she was Katherine" Bonnie looked at Caroline and said "How come you never asked me to help you with searching for a way to keep the twins from merging?" Caroline looked at Bonnie and said "You were busy helping covens round the world that I didn't want to bother you and not to mention you were still grieving Enzo" Bonnie looked at Caroline and said "That doesn't mean you have to search alone Care, I would've helped you if you just asked me" Caroline sighed, looked at the TV to see that Elena was still looking at Hope, Caroline said "I know but I had help from Elena, who put her life of the line when we were in Paris" Bonnie looked confused and said "What does that even mean?" Caroline opened her mouth to talk when Elena started to talk again.
Back To The Living.
Elena sat up fully, crossed her legs while facing Hope and said "I didn't find out until I found the bar I ended up in before, I was looking for a place to have a drink when I stumbled upon it, so I went inside" Elena thought back to that day while telling Hope.
Flashback - Paris, France.
Elena was walking alone the street while searching for a place to have a drink on her phone when she noticed a sign outside of what looked to be a bar, so she put her phone back into her bag, went through the door when a customer opened the door, she went to the bar to get a drink while listening to whoever is playing the Piano, she got the attention of the bartender, who came over to her and said "Hello, what can I get for you?" Elena smiled at the guy and said "Hi, can I get a glass of white wine please?" the bartender nodded their head and got Elena what she wanted, Elena was waiting for her drink while texting Jeremy, Elena looked up to see the guy putting her drink in front of her, she smiled at him and said "Thank you" the guy smiled back and said "You're welcome, is it your first time coming to Paris, France?" Elena nodded her head and said "It is, my friend and I are on vacation together to relax" the guy nodded his head and said "Paris, France is the best place to do that, so where is this friend of yours?" Elena pushed her hair behind her ear and said "She is busy, she's meeting up with someone that could help her with something back home" the guy nodded his head and said "Alright, so you're just touring the city while she is doing that?" Elena nodded her head and said "I am, Paris, France has been one the places that my friend and I wanted to come to for a very long time, so we decided to make it a vacation as well" the guy smiled again and said "Well then, enjoy your time here because there is a lot of history here" Elena nodded her head while watching the guy going to serve more customers, Elena took a sip of her wine while going back to texting her brother.
Present Day.
Hope leaned forward in anticipation because she is enthralled in what Elena is talking about and she said "What happened after the guy left to serve more customers?" Elena giggled and said "You're being nosy" Hope shook her head and said "I'm not, I'm just very interested in what happened" Elena giggled more and said "I went back to texting Jeremy, he wanted to know if I was alright and if I am coming back sooner or later, I told him what I was doing and he didn't push any further" Hope wrapped her arms round her knees and said "Did Jeremy know about what is happening between you and Damon?" Elena nodded her head and said "Jeremy knew that we were having problems and he let me do whatever to get back to myself, it took some time and eventually I became better but I finally knew what I had to do when I saw your Uncle again, I couldn't live a lie anymore and that meant that I had to do something huge, didn't know how but I had to" Hope looked at Elena and said "When did you know that is was Uncle Elijah that you bumped into?" Elena giggled and said "I was just minding my own business when the Piano stopped, I was coming out of the bathroom when once again I bumped into someone" Elena continued to talk to Hope while thinking back to what happened.
Flashback - Paris, France.
Elena walked out of the bathroom after washing her hands and was about to go get another drink when once again she bumped into someone, Elena said "I'm sorry" Elena was about to head to the bar when a voice she knows all to well said "That's twice you bumped into me, what's a beautiful girl like you rushing round for?" Elena's eyes widen in shock because it's been a long time since she heard that voice, she turned round and saw Elijah standing there with a smile on his face, Elena knew what happened from Rebekah and knew that she had to be very careful, Elena shook her head and said "I'm sorry about that, I just didn't see you" Elijah smiled at Elena and said "It's alright, I'm just curious about who bumped into me not long ago" Elena blushed slightly and said "I'm sorry about that, I was in a hurry and I didn't see you" Elijah continued to smile at her and said "It's okay, my name is Elijah" he held his hand out which she placed her own in his and said "I'm Lena" Elijah picked her hand up to kiss her knuckle which made her blush deepen, she bit her lip slightly and said "So, was that you playing the piano?" Elijah nodded his head with a smile and said "It was" Elena smiled at him and said "You're really good" Elijah shrugged his shoulders and said "I'm alright but not like those that do it for a living" Elena giggled and said "Well from what I heard you sound like a pro" Elijah chuckled at that and said "I'm hardly a pro, I just like to play" Elena smiled up at him and said "Well I think you're a pro, even though I haven't played piano before" Elijah looked at her with a smile on his face and said "Well, I could teach you, if you like?" Elena shook her head and said "I couldn't, you must be busy to teach someone like me" Elijah lifted his eyebrow and said "Like you? You mean beautiful and witty" Elena lowered her face to hide the blush and said "I don't think I am beautiful, I'm just ordinary" Elijah stepped closer to Elena, lifted her head up to get her to look at him and once she was, he said "You're not ordinary, why do you think you are?" Elena shrugged her shoulders and said "I'm not everyone's first choice, I get compared to someone that I don't like all the time, so I never thought of myself as beautiful" Elijah shook his head and said "If anyone does that then they are not the one for you because you deserve to be first choice" Elena smiled up at him while biting her lip when her phone went off, she stepped back to get her phone from her bag, saw that it was Caroline, looked back at Elijah and said "I have to get this, my friend will be worried about me" Elijah nodded his head and said "Of course, the offer stands if you want me to teach you piano and maybe when things calm down with your friend that you could go out with me on a date" Elena giggled, bit her lip once more, nodded her head and said "I would like that and I may have to take you up on that offer" Elijah winked at her and said "See you around Lena" Elena nodded her head and left the bar, she walked further away when she answered her phone, she said "Hey Care, how did it go?" Caroline sighed, looked at Klaus with a pointed look and said "It went alright but I had to make a stop afterwards" Elena looked confused and said "Why do you sound fed up?" Caroline was still looking at Klaus and said "I had to stop a certain someone from causing more damage to a beautiful museum, now I have to help him get rid of some bodies" Elena stopped suddenly because from the way Caroline is talking then it could be only one person and said "You have got to be kidding me, Klaus is there?" Caroline glared at Klaus and said "Yes he is, I spent some time telling him off and now he is in trouble once again" Elena shook her head and said "Why is Klaus here in Paris, France for?" Caroline opened her mouth to say something when Klaus got hold of her phone and said "I'm here to keep an eye out for anyone that could go after Elijah, who doesn't have any memories of me and my siblings, so now I answered your question you can answer mine, where are you?" Elena rolled her eyes and said "If you must know I am walking back to the hotel but from the sounds of things you need more hands to get rid of the bodies, so where is this museum?" Klaus gave Elena directions to the museum.
Elena was at the museum in no-time, quickly walked to the room they are in, saw that Caroline started to get rid of them while Klaus was leaning against the wall, Elena sighed and said "What happened Klaus?" Elena watched as Klaus looked at her, sniffed and noticed the small scent of his brother on her, he lifted his eyebrow and said "I will answer if you do as well, where were you coming from?" Elena started to blush and said "None of your business" Klaus smirked at Elena and said "Okay but I have to wonder, why do you smell like Elijah?" Caroline stopped what she was doing to look at Elena, who is blushing so brightly and said "Why are you blushing?" Klaus continued to smirk and said "That's where you were coming from, you saw him" Elena shrugged her shoulders and said "I might have, what's it to you?" Klaus held his hands up and said "I'm just curious" Caroline rolled her eyes and said "Don't you mean you are being nosy?" Klaus rolled his eyes and said "Can we finish here and get out of here before we get caught?" Elena started to help get rid of the bodies and when they were done she turned to Klaus and said "I have to ask, why kill them? You could just compel them" Klaus shook his head and said "Compulsion can break Elena, killing them is better when something like this happens" Elena sighed, leaned against the wall opposite Klaus and said "I know, Rebekah told me everything" Klaus sighed sadly and said "I know that we should've called you and for that we are sorry but we couldn't let you get in the middle, if Esther or Dahlia knew that you helped us then you would be killed" Elena sighed, crossed her arms and said "I get that Klaus but not knowing was making it tough for me to concentrate at college, yeah you were just protecting Hope and that is something that I admire, I just wanted to know if you guys were okay" Klaus looked at Elena with sad eyes and said "I'm sorry that we never called you Elena, I guess we got used to doing things ourselves that we just forgot" Elena looked at Klaus and noticed the sadness in his eyes, she walked to him, wrapped her arms round his neck, hugged him and said "I'm sorry that you're going through so much" Klaus wrapped his round her back, lowered his face in her hair and quietly said "I just want my daughter to be safe" Elena leaned her chin on his shoulder and softly said "She will be, I will make sure she is and from now on you're not alone" Elena felt a tear fell on her shoulder, she pulled back to see tears running down his face, she softly said "Hey, shhhhh, don't cry" Elena wiped the tears from his face, Klaus said "How come you know what to say?" Elena smiled at him and said "When you're friends with Caroline and Bonnie then you will know what to say to make someone better, besides your my friend and I don't like to see my friends cry" Klaus wiped the rest of his tears, chuckled and said "It's been a long time since I broke down like this" Elena shrugged her shoulders and said "It's okay to break Klaus, it just makes you realize that you're human, which isn't a bad thing" Klaus nodded his head and said "Thank you" Elena smiled up at him and said "You're welcome".
