The woods had always called to me, a siren's song of rustling leaves and dappled shadows. This particular patch, recently discovered and untouched, pulsed with an almost palpable energy. I, Professor Williams Powell, a man of science and exploration, couldn't resist. I brought my daughter, Jenny, a bright spark of thirteen years, and a few trusted colleagues – Christopher, the pragmatic geologist, Sarah, the ever-enthusiastic botanist, and Little May, the small but aggressive hunter. We were ill-prepared for what we found.

Before we headed out, we planned tirelessly. Every single step has to be carefully planned, as we don't know what is out there. We get our equipment, an AK-47 shotgun, a fishing rod, a spear, geological equipment, maps, compass, our mobile phones, a flare gun, a sniper rifle, 2 daggers, rulers and other measuring devices as well as First Aid Kits. I checked the weather forecast, it was going to be a partly cloudy day tomorrow. Perfect, I thought.

After this, we all went to sleep.
