"Your dad?" Char asked "yeah this is Max my dad, he's explained why he had to leave and let's just say I'll tell you later baby" Mia explains "Carly can you put your work down for a minute my little love?" She asked "Mummmmmm...." "No Carly you can finish later" she now interrupted her causing Carly to huff "haha she's a mini Mia alright" max laughed.

Carly put her laptop to one side "Now you can eat your food" a stern Mia told Carly "I'm not hungry though" she tried to fight "Carly your mums right eat please even half" Charlotte tried to persuade her "okay fine" the young girl reluctantly gave in to her mum and Charlotte. "Why do you force Carly to try and eat?" Max whispered "Carly suffers with an eating disorder if we don't encourage her to eat she won't, we don't force her we just gently persuade her to, forcing her would lead her to spiral and stop eating altogether. We have to be gentle with her when it comes to food and to know not to give her any of her fear foods." The red head explained quietly.

The three adults talked while Carly was watching Friends while eating her pot noodle, they knew not to interrupt her favourite show or look at her while she was eating as it would put her off her food immediately. What they hadn't noticed Carly had finished eating and still watching the TV "Are you finished baby girl?" Mia asked "oh yeah sorry I'll take it to the kitchen now" she answered "it's okay I'll take it" Mia stood up picking up the empty noodle pot smiling to herself. Carly had ate everything "I'm so proud of you sweetheart" she smiled and walked to the kitchen.

"So Carly how old are you?" Max asked "Erm" she started but got weary of the stranger sat on the other side of the couch, Carly didn't do well with strangers so talking to them gave her anxiety "Carly is shy and is very weary when it comes to people she doesn't know but she's 17" char answered for her "oh I'm sorry I didn't realise but Carly you don't have to be scared of me I'm your grandad" at this point Mia walked back in seeing Carly uncomfortable in her seat "what's wrong? What happened? What did you do?" She was now in protective mama bear mode "Nothing I just asked her how old she was" Max tried to calm Mia down "Baby, it's okay I explained Carly isn't too good with strangers"

Mia walked over to Carly picking her up before siting down with her on her lap "It's okay my little love Mums here, no one in this room will hurt your I promise baby girl" she cooed in her daughters ear, "mum, I've never had a grandad, what do they do?" Carls asked sounding like she was just a little girl who needed reassurance over again "well they make sure your safe, protected, loved and most of all spoilt. Your grandad over there has 17 years of spoiling to make up for" she laughed seeing her father roll his eyes.

They continued to catch up Carly still sitting on Mia's lap still warming up to the new person in her life, when they were pulled from the conversation with the doorbell going "I'll get it" Carly jumped up running to the door.

"Where's my daughter?" The voice spoke.
