Chapter 14

"Soonyoung, what is your ex doing here?" Seungkwan asked giving him a very confused look.

"What?"

"She's outside, she said that wants to see you." Seungkwan told.

Soonyoung really didn't wanna see her anymore, to him, things between him and her are already over years ago. He've completely moved on from Yoora, but it seems like that's not the case for her.

"Hey!" She greeted.

"What are you doing here?" Soonyoung showed how much he hated the fact that she's here by his annoyed face expression.

"I'm here to give you sandwiches. Please, share it with your colleagues!" She exclaimed.

"I'm married." He darkily said.

"So I can't give you sandwiches as a friend just because you're married? Who made such rules?" She raised an eyebrow. Soonyoung sighed, rolling his eyes as he is very irritated by her existence right now.

"We can't be, I have a heart to take care of. What you're doing right now-"

"Soonyoung, just because you're married, doesn't mean that we can't be friends. Why is your wife controlling your social life?" She gave him a disgusted look.

"I never said that she's controlling my social life. She never even once controlled me. Whatever I'm doing right now is by my own will, I want to protect this marriage at all costs. I love her and I don't want to lose her." Soonyoung convincingly said.

"Wow, are you saying that I'm trying to be a homewrecker?" She scowled at him.

"No-"

"You're saying all these.. Why? Is your marriage not working?" She gave him a sarcastic laugh.

"Yoora."

"I don't know, seems like you're the only one who's trying so hard to protect this marriage. What about your wife? You wouldn't even know what she's doing at university." Yoora handed him the box of sandwiches before she left him standing there.

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes.

"Yugyeong would never do anything stupid." He whispered to himself.

"Not gonna lie, the sandwich tastes so good." Said Seokmin while munching. Soonyoung gave him a disgusted look before he rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Huh? How did you know?" Yugyeong raised an eyebrow.

"Joshua told me."

"Yugyeong ah, don't you think that it's kinda.. A bad thing? I mean, they've broken up years ago and she left him but now she's back? I didn't mean to scare you but it just feels like, she wants to take him." What Chaejung just said isn't something that she've never thought of. In fact, it's the thing that she've been fearing about since day 1 his ex came back.

"Yes, I watched a lot of dramas." She added.

"I don't know, Chaejung. Ever since she came back, I felt insecure every single day. I mean, I do trust Soonyoung. But trust itself isn't enough." Yugyeong murmured, lowering her head.

Chaejung sighed and put her hand on Yugyeong's shoulder.

"I know how you feel. We just need to be convinced every single day and time. I'm like that too, I trust Joshua, but just like what you said, trust itself isn't enough. But that's the thing about a relationship, a marriage. We have ups and downs. We just communicate about it rather than making it as an argument." Chaejung ended her remark with a soft and warm smile.

"You're right. I just love Soonyoung so much that it makes me extremely insecure. I don't want to be this insecure but I can't help it." Yugyeong gave her a sad look as she talked.

"Yugyeong, it's okay. We all know that Soonyoung isn't the type to do anything stupid. And we all can see how much you mean to him. You mean the world to him. Remember that." Chaejung smiled and patted her back, trying to comfort her.

"Thanks, Chaejung."

Finally the guys are out. Soonyoung's bright smile appeared as he saw his wife, but that's not how his wife is looking at him. She look at him with a straight face. He knew for sure, he've done something that upsets her.

"Yugyeong baby, what's wrong?" He asked, cupping her cheeks.

"I don't know, you tell me."

"Hmm.. Maybe you're lacking of sugar! Let's get some candies?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Noooo."

"Then, what do you want?"

Yugyeong stayed silent.

"Okay I know, you want me." He smirked ever so teasingly. Yugyeong groaned and rolled her eyes, walking away from him with her arms crossed.

"Now, now, what have you done to your wife that she's upset?" Jihoon shook his head as he gave Soonyoung a disappointed look.

"You better hurry and get her some food." Said Wonwoo.

Soonyoung scooted his way to her and when he reached her, he intertwined their fingers together.

"Why are you upset? Did I do something that offended you?" He asked.

She finally stopped walking and faced him.

"You didn't tell me that Yoora came to your office yesterday." She said, her voice sounded so cold and annoyed.

He sighed.

"I was about to tell you. But I'm scared that it's gonna hurt you-"

"It's gonna hurt me? You know what hurts even more? It hurts even more that you're not telling it to me! It hurts even more that I found out about it from other people and not you!" She yelled so angrily.

"I don't get why I need to tell you every single thing that happened. Do you think that I'm gonna cheat? I'm gonna leave you to be with that bitch Yoora?" He raised an eyebrow, now he gave her a petulant look. He've never gave her such look before and nor did he've ever raised his voice to her before.

"Well, maybe? Because now she's back and she's a doctor while I'm still a uni student! I'm not guaranteed to have a stable job yet! And unlike her I never bought sandwiches for you and your colleagues!" She retorted before she ran away from him.

Soonyoung chuckled in disbelief as he watched his wife walking away from him. Honestly, he's mad too. He's mad at her because of her insecurities, but what can he do about it? Girls are just being girls.

He didn't came home that time, instead, he went to meet his friends.

"Wait, so instead of coming back to home and trying to settle things with her, you asked us to have a coffee with you?" Junhui gave him a disgusted look.

"You should go home and talk to her." Said Myeongho.

"Yeah, she's probably waiting for you right now. With you not showing up, it's gonna make her think negative things even more, that's why she's always insecure about you." Now that's Chan.

"I don't know guys, Yugyeong wasn't like that before. She used to trust me, but-"

"But ever since that freaking ex of yours came back, that's why Yugyeong's acting like that. I'm not saying that you're gonna do anything silly, but that's just normal for girls. Man, you need to understand girls." Myeongho shook his head, leaning his back against the chair.

"If you even love her, you wouldn't be here with us. Instead, you'll be at home trying to talk to her." Hearing that from Junhui, Soonyoung sighed, pinching his temples.
