~A month later~
"But I want to stay with Mommy!" Juno pouted.
"I know. I want to stay with Mommy too. But I have to go to work, and you have to go to school." Hyunjin explained as he put Juno to bed beside Elliott.
"I quit school!" Juno informed.
Elliott looked back and forth between the two of them, wondering what on earth they were talking about.
"Really? Well I told your teacher you'd be back at the end of January. You already missed 2 weeks." Hyunjin hummed.
"No. I quit. I'm going to stay with Mommy and Teddie at Grandma's house." Juno said with confidence.
Hyunjin shook his head. "I'm sorry, Junny, but you can't."
"Then why can't mommy come home with us?!" Juno whined.
"Because mommy needs help. She can't be alone with Teddie until she heals and her iron levels are back to normal."
"Well then, just quit your job and take care of her better!" Juno demanded.
Hyunjin sighed. "Juno, do you like having food in your belly?"
Juno nodded.
"Then I have to keep my job. That's the only way I can afford to feed everyone. Okay?"
"Well, why is mommy making me go with you?!" Juno asked with a deepening sadness.
"Mommy isn't happy about this either! She wants to come home. She wants to be with you. But sometimes bad things happen, and we can't get what we want. Sometimes we have to struggle. Sometimes we have to deal with tough situations. But if we have a positive attitude, at least we can learn something from the bad situation." Hyunjin explained patiently.
Juno furrowed his brows angrily. "How long do I have to deal with the bad situation for?" He grumbled.
"It won't be long. Maybe a month."
"That's like forever!!!" Juno gasped.
"It's not. We've been going back and forth between Grandpa and Grandma's house and Uncle Channie's house for a month. It doesn't feel like that long, does it?"
"Well, no. But this is different. I won't see Mommy."
"You will. We'll come on weekends. And before you know it, mommy will be all better."
"I guess."
"Besides, do you want me to be at home all alone?"
