The morning of May 30th dawned bright and promising. Audrey stood in front of the mirror in her room, carefully adjusting her pink two-piece suit. It was the perfect blend of professional and stylish, and she couldn't help but feel a spark of confidence as she straightened the lapels. Today was the day of her interview with William McArthur at the Ministry of Magic—a pivotal moment in her budding career.

Downstairs, Maxime and Étienne were already seated at the breakfast table. The smell of fresh toast and eggs wafted through the air as Audrey joined them.

"Morning," Étienne greeted, sipping his coffee. "What time is your interview again?"

"Nine o'clock," Audrey replied, spreading butter on her toast.

Maxime glanced at the clock on the wall. "It's already eight. Do you need me to bring you to the Ministry?"

Audrey shook her head with a small smile. "Thanks, but George is taking me."

Her brothers exchanged a knowing look, mischievous smiles creeping onto their faces.

"George, huh?" Étienne teased, raising an eyebrow. "Isn't that sweet?"

Maxime leaned back in his chair. "So, when's the wedding?"

Audrey rolled her eyes, though her cheeks flushed pink. "Stop it, both of you," she said, trying to keep a straight face.

At 8:20, Audrey stood up, her nerves beginning to buzz. She kissed each of her brothers on the cheek before grabbing a handful of Floo powder. "Wish me luck," she said, stepping into the fireplace.

"Good luck!" Étienne called as she disappeared in a swirl of green flames.

Audrey stepped out of the Burrow's fireplace and was immediately greeted by the warm aroma of pancakes and syrup. She dusted herself off and called out, "Hello?"

Mrs. Weasley emerged from the kitchen, a warm smile lighting up her face. "Audrey, dear!" She enveloped her in a hug. "You look lovely. And just in time—George is upstairs." Turning toward the staircase, she called, "George! Audrey's here!"

Moments later, George came bounding down the stairs, his smile broad as he pulled Audrey into a hug. "Morning, love," he said. "Ready for the big day?"

Audrey nodded. "Absolutely."

George glanced at her. "Did you eat?"

"I did," Audrey assured him.

"Good. Just give me a second; I forgot something upstairs." He darted back up the stairs, leaving Audrey and Mrs. Weasley alone in the cozy living room.

Mrs. Weasley approached Audrey, taking her hand gently. Her eyes were soft and kind. "Audrey, I just want to thank you," she said, her voice earnest.

Audrey tilted her head, puzzled. "Thank me? For what?"

Mrs. Weasley placed her other hand on Audrey's cheek, her thumb brushing gently. "For everything. Ever since Percy left... George has been carrying so much anger and sadness. But you—you've brought a light back into him. You've given him hope."

Audrey felt a lump rise in her throat as she nodded. "He means so much to me. I just want him to be happy."

Mrs. Weasley smiled warmly. "And he is. Thank you, dear."

Before Audrey could respond, George returned, holding a small leather folder. "Got it!" he announced, grinning as he extended a hand to her.

Audrey took his hand, and Mrs. Weasley clasped hers for a moment longer. "Good luck today, Audrey. You'll do wonderfully."

"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley," Audrey said, squeezing her hand before turning to George.

With a pop, George Apparated them both to a familiar spot in London—a red phone booth standing inconspicuously on the bustling street.

"My dad always used this entrance," George said, holding the door open for Audrey.

Audrey smiled and stepped inside. As George joined her, she took a deep breath, ready to take her next step into the future.
