(Day 1: Classroom Chaos)

The air crackled with anticipation. Emma, Jake, Lily, and Max huddled in the hallway before dawn, their eyes gleaming with mischief.

"Operation Classroom Switcheroo is a go!" Emma whispered, holding up a stack of meticulously crafted fake signs.

"This is going to be legendary," Jake grinned, already hanging a sign that read "Math Geniuses" on the door of the art room.

Lily giggled. "Mr. Thompson's face is going to be priceless when he walks into the chemistry lab!"

Max, ever the pragmatist, checked his watch. "Let's move fast. We only have fifteen minutes before the first bell."

They worked quickly, swapping signs, adding humorous touches – a picture of a historical figure next to the "Chemistry Lab" sign, a paintbrush icon on the "Math Geniuses" door.

The first students arrived, confusion spreading across their faces as they tried to decipher the mixed-up signs. Mr. Thompson walked into the art room, a perplexed expression on his face.

"Good morning, class... uh... why are there easels everywhere?"

Laughter rippled through the room. The prank was a success. For now.

(Day 2: Sticky Situation)

Emboldened by their initial success, the group decided to escalate things. That night, they snuck into the principal's office, armed with hundreds of sticky notes.

"Operation Sticky Bomb is a go!" Lily declared, sticking a bright pink note to Principal Reynolds's forehead in a photo on his desk.

"This is going to be epic!" Jake laughed, covering the computer monitor with a mosaic of yellow notes.

Max, however, seemed a little hesitant. "Guys, are we sure about this? Principal Reynolds isn't exactly known for his sense of humor."

"Relax, Max," Emma reassured him. "It's just a bit of fun."

The next morning, Principal Reynolds stormed into his office, his face a mask of fury. The sticky notes were everywhere – on the walls, the furniture, even clinging to the ceiling.

"Who did this?!" he roared, his voice echoing through the hallway.

The laughter died down. Students exchanged nervous glances.

"This... this is not funny," Principal Reynolds continued, his voice low and menacing. "This is vandalism. And it will not be tolerated."

He pointed a finger at the assembled students. "You think this is harmless? You're wrong. You'll be cleaning this mess up. All of you. And that's just the beginning."

The group's smiles vanished. The reality of their actions hit them like a ton of bricks.

(Day 3: Balloon Barrage)

Cleaning up the sticky note mess was a grueling task. Their hands were sore, their clothes covered in adhesive residue. Max's initial hesitation now seemed like wisdom.

"Maybe we should tone it down a bit," he suggested.

"No way," Jake protested. "We can't back down now. It's Prank Week!"

Lily, still smarting from Principal Reynolds's reprimand, was less enthusiastic. "I don't know, guys... maybe Max is right."

Emma, caught between wanting to continue the fun and fearing more consequences, was torn.

They decided on a "harmless" prank – a balloon avalanche in the school entrance. But even as they set it up, the mood was different. The laughter felt forced, the excitement muted.

When the doors opened and the balloons cascaded down, the reaction was mixed. Some students laughed, but others looked annoyed. Principal Reynolds watched from the hallway, his expression unreadable.

(Day 4: Fake News)

The group's reputation was taking a hit. Students were starting to whisper, some even complaining about the disruptions.

"Maybe we should just call it quits," Lily suggested, her voice subdued.

But Max, determined to redeem himself after the sticky note incident, had one last idea. A fake announcement over the intercom.

"This is going to be the best one yet!" he declared.

The announcement, claiming that all classes were canceled due to a surprise inspection by alien visitors, initially caused a stir of excitement, followed by confusion, and then... anger.

Principal Reynolds's voice crackled over the intercom. "This is not a joke. This is a serious breach of school policy. And those responsible will face serious consequences."

(Day 5: The Fallout)

The group was summoned to Principal Reynolds's office. The atmosphere was tense.

"Your pranks have gone too far," Principal Reynolds said, his voice stern. "You've disrupted classes, caused damage to school property, and created a climate of anxiety and disrespect."

He outlined their punishments – detention, community service, and a formal apology to the entire school.

The group was silent, shamefaced. They had started Prank Week with good intentions, but their pranks had spiraled out of control. They had learned a valuable lesson – that pranks could have serious consequences, and that true humor wasn't about causing chaos or upsetting others.

The mini-carnival they had planned for the final day of Prank Week was canceled. Instead, they spent the day cleaning up the sticky note mess and writing their apologies. It wasn't the grand finale they had envisioned, but it was a necessary one. They had learned that being funny wasn't about causing trouble, but about bringing joy and laughter without hurting anyone in the process. And that was a lesson they wouldn't soon forget.
