"Anything else I can help with today, Ma'am?" Tracy asked. Noticing Madam Henry's gaze fixed enthusiastically on the entrance door, she added, "Ma'am, are you expecting someone else?"
Madam Henry, however, simply ignored the question, her eyes twinkling with a secret only she knew. "Umm... Can I get you something to drink? Coffee or tea?" Tracy asked, trying to make conversation.
"Coffee sounds good to me... and yes, please make that double. Thanks, dear," Madam Henry replied, flashing a cheeky smile.
Tracy nodded, though puzzled, and slid off her chair. As she walked towards the drinks station, her mind raced with questions. Who could Madam Henry be waiting for, and what did her usual order entail?
The front door bell chimed, announcing the arrival of a new customer. As Tracy turned around, her eyes widened in surprise. The man who entered was the epitome of rugged handsomeness. His chiseled basalt jaw and Spartan shoulders radiated strength and masculinity. His coiffed hairstyle and stylish, well-fitted clothes added an air of sophistication to his impressive presence. Tracy couldn't help but feel a wave of curiosity and admiration wash over her as she took in the sight of this striking figure.
"Mother," he replied gently, leaning forward and kissing both her cheeks.
Madam Henry exhibited peace and composure, her demeanor was tranquil and lovely. As she smiled at Luke, she placed her fingers around his arm. "Darling, welcome back," she replied, her tone warm and affectionate."You look wonderful, Mother. You never seem to age. How do you manage it?" he asked, unbuttoning his jacket. He hung it on the back of his chair and took a seat next to her.
Madam Henry slowly stroked her fingers over his hands, a lovely grin on her face. Thank you, sweetie. "I feel older every day, but..."
"Aww, Mother..." Luke halted and reached into his pocket for his handkerchief. He gently dried his mother's tears. "It feels great to be home, and I'm hungry. "Let's get some food?" he asked, touching his stomach.
Both mother and son laughed together, experiencing a moment of happiness and comfort. Throughout this time, Madam Henry noted Tracy hadn't moved her look away from her son since he walked in, with hints of wonder and admiration in her eyes.
