The night outside was calm, the quiet hum of the car engine the only sound between them as Jake sat on Heeseung's lap, comfortably leaning against him. Their earlier heated moments had simmered down into something softer, more tender. Jake's fingers played absentmindedly with the chain around Heeseung's neck, the pendant glinting faintly in the dim light of the car's interior.

Heeseung's arms rested securely around Jake's waist, his head tilted back against the seat. For once, he looked...at peace. But Jake's mind was anything but.

Jake bit his lip, hesitating before finally speaking. "Heeseung?"

Heeseung hummed in response, his half-lidded eyes flickering to meet Jake's.

Jake exhaled slowly, his fingers stilling. "Who was that woman you've been hanging out with? The one I kept seeing you with?" His voice was cautious, almost timid, as if afraid of the answer.

Heeseung raised a brow, and a small, amused smirk tugged at his lips. "Seriously? That's what you're asking me right now?"

Jake flushed, his cheeks warming. "Yes, seriously! You were always with her, laughing, smiling...it just—it looked like you two were close, okay?"

Heeseung's smirk deepened, and a soft laugh escaped his lips. "Oh my god, you're jealous."

"I'm not jealous!" Jake snapped, though the redness in his face betrayed him.

"Yes, you are," Heeseung teased, his voice dripping with amusement. "You're practically sulking."

Jake huffed, crossing his arms and turning his head away. "I am not."

Heeseung chuckled, one hand moving to gently tilt Jake's chin back toward him. "Relax, Jake. That's my sister-in-law."

Jake froze.

"Yeah," Heeseung said, his tone casual as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "She's older than me and marrying my older brother in two days. She's been dragging me around to help her with wedding stuff because—well, she likes me more than she likes my brother." Heeseung couldn't help but smirk at the last part, clearly proud of the favoritism.

Jake's cheeks flushed.

He stared at him, his brain lagging as it tried to process the information. "Wait, so all this time...she was just—"

"Family," Heeseung confirmed, nodding.

Jake groaned, covering his face with his hands as embarrassment washed over him. "Oh my god. I hated her for nothing. I thought—I thought she was trying to steal you or something!"

Heeseung threw his head back and laughed, the sound filling the small space of the car. "Wow, Jake. That's—Damn, you're even cuter than I thought."

Jake peeked at him through his fingers, his pout growing. "It's not funny, Heeseung. I was seriously upset about it."

Heeseung's laughter softened, and he reached up to gently pull Jake's hands away from his face. "I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to make you feel like that." He pressed a soft kiss to Jake's knuckles, his voice growing warm. "But you have nothing to worry about. She's my sister-in-law, and you're...you're my everything."

Jake's eyes widened slightly at the words, his heart doing a somersault in his chest. "You mean that?"

Heeseung nodded, his gaze steady. "Of course I do. You're the only one I want, Jake."

Jake's lips parted slightly, and for a moment, he could only stare at Heeseung, his heart racing. "You're so unfair," he finally muttered, a small smile creeping onto his lips.

Heeseung grinned, his hands sliding to Jake's waist as he pulled him a little closer. "Unfair? How?"

"You make it impossible to stay mad at you," Jake said, his voice soft.

Heeseung chuckled, leaning in to press a kiss to the corner of Jake's mouth. "Good. Because I'd hate it if you were mad at me."

Jake let out a soft laugh, resting his forehead against Heeseung's. "I guess I should apologize to her when I see her at the wedding."

"Probably," Heeseung said with a smirk. "Though, knowing her, she'd probably find it hilarious."

Jake groaned again, burying his face in Heeseung's shoulder. "This is so embarrassing."

Heeseung's laughter rumbled against him as he wrapped his arms tighter around Jake. "Don't worry about it. Just focus on being here with me right now, okay?"

Jake nodded, his embarrassment melting into a quiet sense of relief. Heeseung was his, and that was all that mattered.

The car fell into a comfortable silence again, their breaths mingling as Heeseung leaned in to kiss him once more, slow and tender. Jake melted into it, his heart full, his worries fading away.

Heeseung smiled softly, his thumb brushing along Jake's jawline as he spoke. "I've been working on the wedding planning for god knows how long," he admitted, the weariness from weeks of preparation evident in his voice. Then, without missing a beat, he tilted his head, his lips curling into a playful smirk. "You wanna go with me?"

Jake blinked, caught off guard. "Wait, what?"

"You heard me," Heeseung said, his tone casual yet teasing. "To the wedding. Do you wanna come?"

Jake's heart skipped a beat. "Are you serious?"

"Dead serious," Heeseung replied, his smirk softening into something more genuine. "It's in two days. I figured since you've been so invested in who I spend my time with lately, you might as well come see for yourself."

Jake's face flushed as he tried to stammer out a response. "I—I wasn't invested! I was just—"

"Jealous," Heeseung interrupted, his grin widening.

Jake groaned, leaning his forehead against Heeseung's shoulder in defeat. "You're never gonna let me live this down, are you?"

"Nope," Heeseung said with a chuckle, pressing a kiss to the top of Jake's head. "But seriously, I'd like you to be there. It's important to me."

Jake pulled back just enough to look at Heeseung, his eyes searching his face. "Really?"

Heeseung nodded, his expression soft. "Mm."

A small smile tugged at Jake's lips, and he nodded. "Okay. I'll go."

"Good," Heeseung said, leaning in to brush his lips against Jake's. "Because I can't imagine being there without you."
