we were finally here, in the third floor, moving quickly towards our last few challenges, and I gotta be grateful, this is going way faster than the previous mission, I feel like this one will actually turn out in our favor, or so I hope so, but better not jinx it, not when we're so close to gain our first Golden Bough... and once I again I gotta wonder, what is Limbus Company trying to accomplish by getting these things?
From what I can understand from my previous experience with object of a similar caliber as the Golden Boughs, in their own they should be able to bend reality to a certain point... so what will happen once a large amount of these are all put together, wouldn't this make Limbus Company nearly invincible? Becoming like a second Head or something like that?... let's hope not, because you can be sure I won't allow the existence of another organization as powerful as the Head to exist, one of those alone has already destroyed countless lives just for the sake of it... and if another one is rising, I will do everything in my power to stop it.
But let's not dive into these kind of thoughts right now, we don't even have one Golden Bough, and even if we get this one, one alone won't do any important change to the company.
Besides, I wouldn't want to kill these bunch of murder hobos, they're actually beginning to grow on me, which is kind of weird considering that they are a group that in other circumstances I would despise to my very core, but I guess forming part of this weird "family" made me change of opinion in these kind of people.
I mean, seriously, look at them, we have two war criminals, a depressed guy, a hot headed dumbass, an impulsive gambler, a gremlin obsessed with Fixers, an unfeeling bastard, a shy little kid, a grown ass man that acts like a kid, a traumatized fisher-woman, A FUCKING SMARTASS, and lastly, a woman that reminds me of myself... in other time, I wouldn't had doubted a second to wipe them all off in a swing of my war hammer, but currently... they're making my life more entertaining than I expected.
And yeah, I know I didn't mentioned Dante, Yuri, Charon or Vergilius, and the reason for that is because I can actually get along more easily with people like them, even if most of them are weak... yep, including Vergilius, since I've already have personal experience with an easily annoyed Color Fixer for a large portion of my life.
Heathcliff: oi! Are you listening?
Ellios: hm? Oh, Heathcliff, what is it?
Heathcliff: just making sure you're still focused, I swear, it only takes a bloody butterfly for you to stop paying attention.
Ellios: I'm not THAT bad okay?
Heathcliff: sure you are, what were you thinking now, about the lass over there? I mean, after that dance you two got, I wouldn't be surprised.
I look in the direction he is pointing, seeing Ryoshu walking almost walking in front of the group.
Ellios: ... maybe just a bit.
Heathcliff: hah! Out of all the women out there you actually fell for the worst optio-
Ellios: it's not love okay?... I know what that feels like, I've been in love with someone before, and this ain't it.
Heathcliff: huh? So even a psychopath like you can find his other half?
Ellios: hm... in a way, but... doesn't matter, my love for that person is long past, it was... a thing of the moment.
This for some reason... actually got a grunt of annoyance out of Heathcliff mouth.
Heathcliff: what, you actually gave up on whoever you fell for? that's not how love bloody works, you keep trying until things work out, if the person that you're talking about mattered at all to you that's it, you're suppose to give your all to this person, there's no such thing as "a thing of the moment", that's not called love, that's delusion... love doesn't die so easily.
