"Omg how do you do it Baby doll?" Tiggy said as he dug into a sandwich I made
"What are you eating some of Gemma's meatloaf?" Bobby piped up
"No I am eating one of Gracie's creations. What is it again?"
"Tiggy, it is just a turkey sandwich with cheese." I said, resuming my spot on the counter.
"Well I missed your cooking almost as much as I missed pussy."
"And that is my cue to leave." I jumped off the counter and headed towards the door.
"Why baby girl?"
"Because I don't need to know about your sex life Tiggy. Have my own to worry about." I called as I headed towards the club, I could hear the phone ringing, as I walked in Dirty Phil was just getting up to get it.
"Sit your ass down, I got it." I instructed as I picked the annoying thing up.
"Hello, this is Gracie Winston, how may I help you?"
"Gracie, is Clay around?" Jax asked
"No I think he rode out to talk to Oswald? What do you need Jax?"
"I just need Clay, tell him it's important. They said they will call back in five."
"What Jax who..." But he had already hung up the phone
I could hear Clay pulling up, I hung my line up and ran towards the door. "Clay!"
"Not now Grace." He snapped as he walked towards Unser.
"It's Jax, says its important and someone has him and Ope."
He turned his body towards me and I could feel his glare through the sunglasses he wore, "how do you know that?"
"He said that whoever it is will allow him to call us back in five minutes. So in five minutes when I come out and say that Jax is on that bar phone and says its important then you better get your old ass in that club house and answer the request!" I shouted, knowing if I didn't he would never answer. Even though he said I was just a old lady, even he couldn't deny that I had some form of power over them. I still couldn't figure out why, maybe because I had a brain in my head, or I was the only girl raised to know how this club worked, or maybe some combination of both.
"of course Grace. Anything else?" He asked
"No just take care of your shit." I stormed inside, looking at the phone. I found a glass and poured myself one of the drafts, and then found a random pack on the bar, lighting the tip and then puffing out a cloud of smoke.
"What are you doing Baby Girl?" Tiggy asked
"Well enjoying a drink, a smoke and wondering who the hell has my damn brother."
"Well you know if you stand up against Clay it ain't going to end well."
"I also know if we get in this damn mess with mulling for the Cartel that it ain't going to end well."
"Listen if he thinks it is smart plan then I back him."
"Tiggy can't you see, he doesn't care about the club right now, only about what he can get out of it. He could care less if we all get thrown inside for this shit."
"Gracie, any other time I would support you, but I can't stand against my president and VP."
"I know you can't Tiggy, you have always been a faithful solider for the club, and even though you are I still love ya, because in the end this shit ain't my choice, it's up to you guys." I smiled and patted his hand as the phone began to ring.
"This is Grace Winston, how may I help you?"
"I demand to speak to your president!" A thick Russian accent said
"And I demand to speak to my brother!" I snapped back, signaling Tiggy to go get Clay, which he quickly for filled.
"I will when I speak to your president."
"Can you at least verify that both of them are alive?"
"Fine, say hello boys to Miss Grace." He instructed
"Mrs. Actually." You heard Opie snap
"Hello Darling." Jax said as Clay walked in the room, I handed the phone over and whispered, "Russians."
"What do they want." Pause. "Well that might take a while." And then he hung up. "They said they want their guns within the hour and if they don get it then they will kill Ope and Jax."
"But Happy and the guys can't get them there in an hour." Tig said
"Well then we have only one option don't we?" I said, "rescue mission."
"Oh no you are not..."
"I'll ride with Tiggy." I stormed out, my helmet that was hanging by the door was now in hand. However when I reached the bikes, Gemma was watching.
"Where you going fire cracker?"
"Well I'm going on a run with the guys, be back soon."
"Well why?"
"There has been complications." Clay piped up behind me
"Well where is Jax?"
"It's complicated." we were all on the bikes ready to go, when the patrol cars pulled up.
"Sorry, if you want fleet work you need an appointment!" Clay shouted
"No I actually had a few questions about last night." Eli piped up as he walked out like he had the biggest, baddest dick of them all.
"I hate to tell you but we didn't leave the damn reservation all night." I shouted, "now if you don't mind..." And then the fire truck pulled up.
"You smell smoke, Miss hot shot lawyer?" Eli said with a smug look on his face.
I jumped off the bike and raced after him, knowing the boys weren't far behind. When I got in the room he was looking at the wall, the firemen filing in behind me, then the other cops and finally the club.
"There's no brothers on your wall, why is that?" He asked as he turned to Clay.
"Simple it means there is no brothers on the wall." Piney answered.
"Well." He reached out his hand, touching the wall, "this wall feels warm, must be electrical." He reached for an axe and then swung, hitting my father's mug, and several others fell to the ground.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" I screamed, starting to run forward but was quickly pulled back by Bobby and Piney.
Eli huffed and smiled before continuing, "I see now why they call you Fire Cracker." He smiled again before hitting the wall again and then kicking the door in a hitting the table.
"This is illegal, there is no signs of a fire in a god damn table!" I screamed, "this is destruction of property and legally..."
"Don't go all lawyer punk on me, I'm shocked you lost your damn job for all the shit you are involved in and not your attitude."
"Whit ur ye talkin' about?" Chibs asked, looking at me, along with the rest of the boys.
"Rossin found out about her involvement with you all after you  got put in Stockton, fired her on the spot and said he would make it so that she never worked in a law office again." He smiled at me, before I broke out of Bobby's and Piney's grip and left the room, which Eli continued to destroy.
Chibs followed me out, found me sitting on the picnic table, hand shaking as I tried to light a cigarette.
"Here." He held out a lit match and offered it towards me, lighting my tip.
"Thanks Chibs." I smiled before taking a drag.
"Wa didne ye teel us?" Chibs lit his own cigarette as he took a seat next to me on the table.
"What was I suppose to do Chibs? Say at the wedding, hey thanks for coming to the wedding, glad you are safe and home finally and hey I lost my job because of the club."
"We cods had helped."
"No, I told Rossin to act like he didn't fire me if you went asking. That's why earlier when Clay called he said he would give me the day off."
"Hoo long?"
"A year." I took another drag
"Saw aw those days ye said ye hud wark..."
"I was doing stuff for the club, trying to gain allies, working on ways to earn legit and taking care of my kids, Piney would pick 'em up and bring 'em to the house for me. Would tell him I got out early."
"Diz Opie ken?"
"No he doesn't."
"Weel someone gonnae teel hemm moo 'at Eli spilled th' god damn beans."
As he finished the sentence Eli walked out, smiling wide and looking proud, clipboard in hand as he read violations off to Clay and left. They turned to me and Chibs as they started towards the bikes.
"We'll talk about this later." Clay pointed towards me as I hurried to tow, knowing I was going to have to drive it.

As I pulled up I saw Romeo and Lousie standing with Jax and Opie, I threw the truck in park and jumped out, quickly walking towards the boys, but broke into a run as soon as Opie smile at me. He opened his arms and embraced me, as Jax walked towards the others and exchanged some words with Romeo. I let him go and looked up, "where's the truck?"
"It flipped a little ways away, the windshield is knocked out, need it towed back to TM."
"Well thank God I brought the tow then huh?"  I smiled as we looked at each other.
"So Romeo saved you two?" I asked
"Yea, maybe Jax is right, they seem like a useful asset to have."
"Babe, you can't seriously be thinking that mulling for them is a good idea?"
"I just might. I mean without them we would be dead right now Gracie."
"Samcro doesn't do drugs though, I thought that was a message spread clearly throughout all the charters."
"Your right babe, but maybe Clay and Jax are right on this."
"Well Ope, whatever you pick I guess I will let you, but doesn't mean I support it." I took his hand and lead him back towards the tow to get the truck, the tow which Jax was already sitting in.
"Oh by the way, when we get to TM don't be surprised if the club house is destroyed."
"What do you mean Darling?"
"Simple Eli decided to show us just how big and bad his dick could be, came in with the firemen and axed the place to hell. Needs a whole remodel probably after the damage he did."
"Well it ain't nothing we can't fix." Jax said as he threw an arm around my shoulder, "now let's go get your guy's pickup truck."

"We're engaged!" Tara said, throwing Jax off guard, she smiled at me, for I knew exactly what she was doing and understood completely why she was, happy new would distract them from the fact  that the club house was ruined, at least for a while.
"Opie, I hate to ruin the mood but I gotta tell ya something." I whispered as everyone drank and cheered.
"Yea." He whispered back as I lead him outside to the table.
"So you know how I say I'm going to work, or working really odd hours?"
"Well yea, I just figured Rossin was just being..."
"I got fired." I said causing him to stop talking.
"Wait, what?" He finally said after several minutes of me just staring at him while he processed my words.
"I've been unemployed for a year, found out about me workin with the club, so he said he would make it so I never worked as a lawyer again and fired me."
"Why didn't you..."
"Never seemed right." I looked into his hazel eyes, tears framing them.
"So I once again ruined your life." He whispered looking down at my feet
"Harry Winston." I tilted his head so I could once again see though hazel eyes, "don't you ever say you ruined my life."
He was silent for a moment and then I whispered, "we better go release Juice from kid duty."
"Yea." He whispered as he lead me towards the club house.
"Hey Tiggy, wanna drive us home in the tow?" Opie called.
"I'll do it." Piney stood up and started towards the tow.
"Pops you don't have..."
"No I do, I can't party when I know what things they are about to do to this charter."
"Pops it can't be..."
"It is son, yea it might bring in a lot of cash for us but at what price?" He answered, causing the rest of the ride to be completed in silence, and by the look on Opie's face, I knew he was going to say Yes.
