The drive to Jey's house was silent, the air heavy with unspoken tension. Y/N sat in the passenger seat, stealing glances at Jey as he gripped the steering wheel, his jaw tight.

When they finally arrived, Jey parked and led her inside without a word. His house was simple but warm, filled with photos of family and moments from his career. Y/N paused to look at a picture of Rikishi and the Usos as kids, a bittersweet smile tugging at her lips.

"Come on," Jey said softly, breaking her thoughts.

He led her to the living room, where they sat on the couch. Jey leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, his hands clasped together.

"You wanted the truth," he began, his voice low. "Here it is."

Y/N nodded, bracing herself.

Jey took a deep breath, his eyes fixed on the floor. "The Bloodline isn't just about family loyalty. It's about power—keeping the family on top, no matter what. And lately, things have been...tense."

"Tense how?" Y/N asked, her brow furrowing.

"There's pressure from Roman to prove we're all on the same page," Jey explained. "He wants everyone to fall in line, no questions asked. But I'm not sure I can do that anymore."

Y/N's heart ached at the conflict in his voice. "Why not?"

"Because I'm tired of being a pawn," Jey said, his frustration boiling over. "Every decision, every move—it's all about what's best for Roman, not what's best for me. And now..." He hesitated, glancing at her.

"Now what?" she pressed.

"Now, people are watching us," Jey admitted. "Paul Heyman, Roman...they think you're a distraction. They don't like how close we are."

Y/N's stomach twisted. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"They see you as a weakness," Jey said bitterly. "Something they can use to keep me in line."

Y/N stared at him, her mind racing. "That's ridiculous."

"Maybe," Jey said, leaning back against the couch. "But that's how they think. And if they think you're a threat to the Bloodline, they won't hesitate to make things difficult for you."

Y/N's anger flared. "They don't get to decide who you're friends with, Jey. They don't own you."

"That's easy to say," he said quietly. "But walking away from the Bloodline? That's not something you just do. There are consequences."

"Like what?" she demanded.

Jey looked at her, his eyes dark. "Like being cut off. Losing everything. My family, my career...it could all disappear."

Y/N's breath caught at the weight of his words. She reached out, placing a hand on his arm.

"Jey, you're not alone in this," she said softly. "You don't have to go through it by yourself."

He looked at her, his expression a mix of gratitude and fear. "I don't want you getting hurt, Y/N. If they come after you..."

"Let them try," she said fiercely. "I'm not afraid of them."

Jey's lips twitched into a small smile. "You're just like your dad, you know that?"

Y/N grinned. "I'll take that as a compliment."

For the first time in days, the tension between them eased. But Y/N knew this was just the beginning. Whatever path Jey chose, it wouldn't be easy—and she wasn't about to let him face it alone.
