Prologue

No one POV

In lower wood parts only noise that can be heard of the sounds of the wind and birds passing through these lands. Two humans are seeing walk near a river

'isn't this nice Beth' said the male human walking with the female name Beth 'yes, this nice Owen but I got back soon to check on Boog' said Beth to male Human name Owen 'I know but remember in the future you will have to release him' 'I know it will be hard to let him go on his own' Owen look and her 'I know but-' Owen was cut off when they heard a small little howl coming from a tree log in the river. Both Beth and Owen pull log on land and notice a small hole Beth use her scout knife to open it and to their shock it reveal to be a 'oh my' 'it a wolf pup' Owen gently pull the wolf pub out and hold it close to his t shift chest to warm it up 'what do you think it was doing in there' Owen ask Beth 'I don't know there no sign of any wolves pack around this area' Beth said stroking the pup Owen look closer at the pub 'it a boy' he said reveal the gender of the wolf pub 'what are we going to do with him' Beth ask Owen 'I take him to my house and look after him for a bit'

2 years later

It was a bright sunning morning near a house Owen could be seen wearing a firefighter shirt and black pants unknow to him a growling figure could be seen at the front open door and launch itself onto man pining him on the ground and began licking his face 'ok, ok Fang you got me good boy' Owen said to the Figure which is reveal to be the wolf pup he found 2 years ago but he now 2 years old with light and bit dark brown fur

Fang POV

'boy I love work morning' I said to myself but to Owen he only hears my bark as I got off him and he got up and open the front passenger door and I hop in and he got in the driver seat then he start his car and we head to the road which leads to Timberline I look at the window which roll down and I lean my head out and stick out my tongue 'you like doing that boy' Owen said to while to forcing on the road 'you bet I do' I bark. Few minutes later we arrive in town and drive up to the fire station house parking lot and stop Owen hop out and open my door and I hop out 'inside boy' Owen said pointing toward the open doors I walk in walking pass some firefighters and I head to my bed next to my food bowl and saw a piece of meat I pick it up with my mouth and brought it to my bed and begin eating it then Owen came and stroking my head then Beth came in 'morning boys' she said to us both 'morning Beth' we both said/bark then she came up to me ' Boog at the front want to see him' my tail wagging meaning yes I turn to Owen 'go on buddy' he said with a nod I got up and head at front and I saw Boog leaning on the back of Beth jeep 'hey Boog' 

I call out to him and he turn to me 'hey Fang how are you my man' he replied as we both fist pump with our paws 'I doing fine those days just me the lads and Owen chatting and putting out fires' I said 'yea that the life of a fire fighter' Boog said and I roll my eyes but then we heard I mini truck and saw it and we both know the driver 'Shaw' we both said in growling tone 'I hate that man' I said still growling 'tell me about he the worst and nasty hunter there is in town' Boog said 'yea tell me abo-' I was cut of by the said of the fire alarm and Owen came running out 'Fang come boy' he call for me I turn to Boog 'well duty calls see you Boog' I said before running inside 'you to man' I heard Boog said to me as I ran into the locker room and Owen grab my fire vest and collar and put both on me 'you ready boy' he said towards my face and I nodded ''good let go' he led my to the Heli pad on the roof of the station and we board a helicopter and we took off.

We were flying over the falls and I saw a wild fire spreading fast 'ok lads reports say the fire was caused by camper who left their gas leaking and got caught by the fire pit and due to heavy winds it spread fast the camper have be evacuated but one is uncounted for and he last location were above the falls' Owen said as we above some lands as the fire was spreading 'my and Fang will rappelling down and location him just stay near the area' Owen said to the pilot who node then he attach himself to the rope and attach my vest to his 'ready boy' and I bark replied as both me and Owen slide out of the helicopter and landed on the soft grass Owen then unattended my from his vest 'go fine boy go' Owen said as I used my nose and I got something then I follow the smell as I ran with Owen right behind me. I follow the smell unit a found the missing camper unconscious Owen ran to him and check he still had a pulse and Owen pull a walkie talkie and call the helicopter over as it did it lower a stretcher and Owen put the camp on it and check he was strand on as he was pull up to the helicopter then a rope came down 'HELP' I heard a female voice not far I turn around 'what is it boy' I heard Owen I turn to him and bark at telling him to follow me as I ran towards the sound. As I running, I saw the fire getting worst then I stop and saw who call for help it was a female deer who had a small tree log on top of her she slowly look up to be with a shock and fear look on her face I ran up to her and began digging the ground under her 'I got you' I said to cheer her up then Owen show 'step back buddy' I obey as he Leif the log off her and pick her 'let go' he said and I nodded we both ran back to the helicopter but a tree fell in front of me 'shot' I said to myself I had to go around and ran much fast but then it was too late.

Owen POV

I was on board the helicopter with the deer and we slowly taking off but then I spotted fang 'wait fang down there' I said to the pilot 'I sorry but we can't go back the fire is getting worser to land' I had to watch as we fly away

Fang POV

'oh shot' I said to myself and the fire spread nearly around me then I got near a edge and saw water blow me I look back and see how close the fire was to my feet I took a deep breath and look at the edge 'oh screw it' I said as I jump off and began falling felling my fur all around moving wild until I felt hard push of watch as I fell deep in it. I then swim up the surface trying to grab everything to pull me up, but I felt my bones weaking as I slowly sank to under water as my eyes went to a blur.

No POV

The sun raises the fire clean from the forest a shadow figure is see near some tree and see the body of a wolf on land and slowly walk to it check his pulse and it had one and begin to drag it body to who knows where.

Owen POV

It been 3 days now since the fire and we had nothing on Fang team are send to find him and was in the station sitting next Fang bed and held a photo of us and the team 'Owen' I heard Beth voice and saw he coming in 'hey Beth' I replied to her and she walk up to me 'how you holding up' she ask me and I turn to her 'not good I losing faith' I said then she place her hand on my shoulder 'I sure the search team will find him and remember he a fighter you trained him after all' then I smirk 'yea I did how that deer we saved' I ask wounding how that deer doing 'she doing fine I be release her to the wild today' 'that good to hear at least it wasn't in vain' I was glad that deer made it then we heard a knock on the door we saw both sheriff Gordy 

and the fire captain at the door and I got up 'Gordy, captain any news on fang' I ask hoping for good news but all I saw was sad faces then Gordy walk up to me and place his hand on my shoulder 'I sorry Owen' he then pull out what was left of fang vest 'but this all we can find' my eyes fill up with tears to make thing worse I saw little bit of blood on it 'we search everywhere but that all we can find we believe the fire got to him' captain but I didn't look at them 'we leave you be now' both Gordy and captain left then Beth walk up to me and huge me 'I so sorry Owen' she said with tears as well 'I raise since he was cube now gone' we both hold each other

Fang POV

I began to slowly to open my eyes it was a blur, and I lick my lip as I slowly got and look around to see I was in some kind of cave 'what the where am I ahh' I felt a bit of pain to my back I lean over and saw some cut probably from fall but I notice my vest isn't on me as I got up then a flash of light beam from a rock to my then I notice a exit as I slowly walk towards the light as I reach it, it and what I saw what a wide view of the forest 'where the heck am I' I said to myself as I had no idea where about the forest I was.

One hour later Beth POV

I was piloting my helicopter and with my is the female deer Fang next to me as I slowly land down on a green field as we landed I hop out and open the passage down and gently help the deer out and remove some of her bandage and see she heal 'ok you good go' I rub her head and I watch the deer leave as I smile knowing if it wasn't for Fang she won't be live today

Two minutes early Fang POV

'This Is just great' I said annoyed at myself I lost in these woods with no way back home or any why of communication and no knowledge of what in these woods but then I hear noise in the sky and saw a helicopter and it Beth 'it Beth she came looking for me BETH I DOWN HERE' I yell hoping she hear me as I ran but slow down a pit as I felt a bit of pain. Few minutes later I slowly got my speed back but then I see Beth helicopter leaving in the sky 'no, no, no ,no' I said at myself losing my chance I going home but then my stomach rumble and felt hungry 'great now I hungry what else' I said but I saw a berries and I might as well eat them as I walk toward I grab a branch of berries with my mouth as I pull something pull it back 'what the' I pull again but then it pull back I use my strength and pull hard and then I felt something soft land on my pin my on ground as I look it a deer and look at me as we both drop the branch from our mouth and then 'AHHHGHH'
