Forgotten Memories

Chapter 1

"Harry!Stop tickling me!",rose playfully yelped at me as I pinned her to the floor and relentlessly tickled her with her sweet laughter filling the air.

"No can do,I'm having to much fun",I said with a smirk on my face.

Finally she was almost in tears of laughter and I let go of her.She sits up and giggles into my shoulder.This girl sitting next to me is my whole world.I love her so much and am so greatful that I have her,even though I don't deserve her.

"Don't ever do that again",she playfully snaps at me.

"No promises", I simply reply back,and give her a smile,and she returns one back to me.

"I need to go get some stuff at the store real quick",rose says.

"Wait I wanna come to,its getting late and you look tired so I'll drive you".

"Ok thanks babe",she sweetly replies with a lazy smile.

We get into the car and I turn on the radio so that I won't fall asleep because its getting pretty late and I need something to distract me.We both just kind of sit in silence,not the awkward silence but the silence of peace. Now its starting to rain and get a little foggy.

"Damn it!I can't see a thing!",I hit my steering wheel.

I realize Rose is fast asleep.She's so beautiful when she's sleeping.I take a moment to soak in her beauty, then all the sudden I hear a loud horn of a diesel,I'm in the wrong lane and I try to swerve into the other lane until...BANG!!!

I wake up unconscious in a place unknown,my brain feels hazy and I don't know why I'm here. Am I dreaming? No I pinch myself and I know its real. Then it all hits me.

"Where's Rose??!",I scream at the top of my lung,hoping anybody will hear me.

I sit up but I see that my leg is in a cast and my arm is bandaged.Despite the pain I try to pull myself up off the bed.Then an annoying beeping sound goes off and a few nurses rush in to contain me down.

"Where the hell is my Rose?!"

"She is in a room a couple doors down honey",one of the nurses say.

"Is she alright?! I need to see her right now!".

"For right now she's not looking so well,but we still have hope she will be alright,she is going to have to undergoe brain surgery,she had a serious blow to the head.She's very lucky she's alive".

"I need to go see her!!"

"I'm sorry but you can't right now,you are in very bad condition and she is still sleeping".

"Can I be there when she wakes?".

"We'll try our best,maybe we can get you in a wheel chair and bring you over",the nurse says understandingly.

"Now get some rest child",she says as I shake my head.

"Please make sure she's safe",I say falling back to sleep with her face being the last thing I see before I fall asleep.

I awake again,uncertain of the day or hour not knowing how long ive slept.I press a button that indicates if you press it a nurse will assist you.A nurse from earlier walks in and smiles at me,I give her a smile back.

"Has Rose woken up yet?I need to see her".

"Yes dear she has,would you like me to take you to her?".

"Yes please".

I'm rolled into a nearby room numbered #207,as I rolled in the sight I saw in front of me was horrifying.It finally sank in that I was the cause of this horrible accident and now my sweet rose was in terrible condition because of my foolish acts. I should have been looking at the road,not rose,no matter how beautiful she is I could've protected her and now she's a complete mess!I roll up to her bedside and try to hold back my tears to be strong for her.

"Rose?How are you feeling babe?".

She looks at me confused and then looks at the nurses.

"Who is this man,and why is he hear talking to me?".

"What?babe,dont mess with me eight now".

"Um Harry can you step outside with me for a minute?",one of the nurses says to me with concern in her eyes.

I'm really starting g to get worried now.What could possibly be wrong?

"Harry I'm afraid that Rose is suffering from amnesia because of the head collision and we can't assure full recovery".

I don't say anything to the nurse, my head is spinning into so many directions right now.

"So your saying Rose doesn't remember me,and possibly never will?".

"Yes honey I'm so sorry,but right now we don't know for sure".

I'm still in a state of shock and don't know what to think.

"Can I try and go back there one more time?".

"Yes of course dear".

I wheel myself back into the room hoping this isn't re,my Rose just has to remember.This mist be some sort of sick joke.

"Rose do you need anything?",I say as I grab her hand.She flinches and takes her hand away.

"Get away from me you creep!!I don't know who you are!!",the words hit me like a ton of bullets aiming at my chest.My lip starts to quiver and now I'm breaking into sobs and wailing as the nurse wheels me away and leaves me alone to the dark thoughts that now consume me,and will take me under.
