It was a normal day here in Dublin. After sleeping in, I showered and got dressed. Faintly hearing my phone buzz, I ran in to the small kitchen trying to find it.

After searching for a good 20 minutes, I FINALLY found the cheap nokia, on top of the windowsill, hiding behind the small curtains.

Hey,

we need to talk. Meet me at the park in half an hour?

It was from my best friend Danny. He lives around the corner, in a small apartment block like mine. Checking the time, I grabbed my purse and put my socks and lace canvas shoes.

I lived in the small poor part of Dublin. There  was graffiti an shattered glass everywhere.

As I turned a corner, I saw the large slope. As I got over the hill, Danny's black hair came in to view. He was sitting on a swing looking at the ground and fiddling with his hands. Oh no, something's wrong.

I walked up and sat on the swing next to him. "What's up, buttercup?" I said popping the 'P'. "Teagan, I'm moving to LA, with Mark. On Monday" he whispered looking up at me with bloodshot eyes. "Oh" was all I could choke out as the tears spilt, rushing down my face. Danny pulled me close to him. "Its ok." He said tears threatening to spill out of his eyes. "I'll miss you" I choked out burying  my face in his shirt, leaving a wet patch on his shoulder." We'll Skype and email and text and call" He said digging in his pocket with his hand, "Here, I want you to have this" he said pulling out a 4 leaf clover necklace and putting it on my neck. " Danny, it's beautiful. But you shouldn't have wasted your money on me." I said hugging him." I didn't 'waste' my money". He replied holding me close." Don't forget me, okay?" I muttered in to his shoulder, "How can I ever forget someone as beautiful as you" he said smiling through the tears, as he bent down and kissed the top of my head. Yes I'm short.  We walked back over the hill towards our houses, when we reached his street we hugged for what seemed like forever, then he kissed me on the cheek and he walked away...

...My heart going with him.
