I stood nervously at the place I was meeting Reagan at, I didn't know what else to do so I brought her a small bouquet of flowers that reminded me of yesterday when I was sketching and thinking of her.
"Flowers?"
Reagan smiled as she took them from me."They came to mind yesterday and I just, I'm new at this so I wanted to be sweet and just give you something"
She blushed and smiled.
"Thank you"I nodded motioning us down to the limo
"There Apple blossoms""There pretty"
I held the door open for her and climbed in behind her. The tickets to the art show was sitting on my desk in my studio at home an I was dying to ask her.
"So, what have you been doing?"
I tried making simple small talk."Preparing for my first semester of college"
"College girl hmm?"
I laughedShe blushed that famous hint of pink and smiled up at me.
"Are you in school or how do you do it?""I was homeschooled, I finished early, I was very book smart an still am, but art classes came to me so paintbrushes took over pencils"
"I'm taking a bunch of writing classes, I want to write so bad"
"Write, write about anything you want"
I encouraged her. I think I got that side of me from my mother. Where I just wanted to see the best in everybody."I have a plot, but it's not even good"
"Can I get a sneak peek?"
I smirkedReagan nodded
"It's about a girl, it's called identity seeker, and she's a soul from a past life and throughout her normal life she relives her past life in a dream and her name is constantly repeated in her dreams""What's her name?"
Reagan shrugged
"Haven't got that far""Name her Katie!"
I smiled, my humor showing lightReagan blushed and licked her lips.
"And she wakes up in cold sweats and she died in a car accident, and the night she relives her accident she wakes up and she finds the car that she died in about an hour drive from her sitting in a junk yard""I would read it"
"Would you?"
I nodded smiling wide.
"I'm not a reader, but I would read your book, I would be there cheering you on while you got mass copies and everything""Identity seeker"
I repeated"I'm gonna write it"
"You should it sounds wonderful"
As soon as I looked up to smile at her the limo door opened and we were at my apartment building, I was loosened up a little bit so I could ask her to go to Atlanta with me, if she disagreed I'd give Brooke an Kyle the tickets and I'd go to New York and be a usual Copeland an spend money like its going out of style.
I unlocked the door and I led her inside, Reagan smiled an stared at the art already on the walls, all the decorations an pictures. The furniture wasn't too fancy, but it wasn't the usual you buy from Walmart an call it a day.
It was custom designed or bought from a magazine.
"This is the kitchen, the living room"
I opened the door to my room and glanced around
"This is my room"""The bed looks comfortable"
I smiled and stared at the white bed sheets.
"It's my favorite"She grinned turning to the walls were I hardly had any art , but countless pictures of my family. Pictures of Leah and Cameron and I when we all graduated, pictures of our family that looked seriously happy, but it was all just a Polaroid moment.
"Where's this famous studio?"
She asked, turning to me from the wall of pictures.I tucked my hair behind my ear and led us out of my room. Thankfully it was clean, thankfully it was all clean.
I pulled back the white sheet I had put up to block out the apartment from my space. The linoleum had stray paint stains, but a fresh canvas was leaned up against the wall ready to create a masterpiece. A small desk held my paintbrushes an different paints, she picked up the sketch pad I had laid ontop an glanced at me before opening it."It's fine"
I gave her a soft smile, trying to impress her, or just not seem like a complete art loser."What does this random butterfly mean?"
She asked.I remember when Kyle drew it in there an I could only come up with something witty.
"It means you"It's as if all the confusion an all the feelings that were there were gone, she bit her lip an stared down at the butterfly. I noticed a blush forming on her face, much deeper than the times before, and I knew I said all the right things.
And not for the wrong reasons, Reagan intrigued me, and all I wanted to do was get to know her better.
She opened her mouth, hesitant at first but then she spoke, as if the lump disappeared in her throat.
"Why?"I wasn't thinking witty, I wasn't thinking about all the reasons I could make her fall in my arms, but I was thinking of that first night, when she asked if I was lost, and I smiled at her when really she was lost.
"Because, it's my world, and you flew in it, so suddenly, so elegant and gracefully"She blushed red again and smiled.
"I didn't mean to make you feel awkward"
I confessed, walking over to the desk pulling the tickets out of the drawer."I do want to ask you something"
"What?"
She turned to me, moving her fingers from the butterfly drawing."I have tickets for an art gallery in Atlanta, come with me, keep me company, cause I don't want to look lost"
She smiled and stared at the tickets
"Are you about to pull a Copeland?""I have a private jet that takes me wherever I could ever want"
"Really?"
"Give me a place you've always wanted to see"
She bit her lip an thought
"The Bahamas. Like from the sandals commercial"I laughed and realized what she's talking about.
"You couldn't say like England, or Sweden, Australia-""Sweden sounds like it would be beautiful"
I stuck my hand out
"I promise to take you to Sweden one day"She stared into my eyes for a split second then down at my hand.
"You don't promise with a handshake, you promise with your pinky"She stuck up her pinky too me and I intertwined my little finger with hers.
"Promise?"
She asked once"Promise"
I smiled, smiling over at her.
