Dylan:
"Why does she have so much stuff," Brandon whined.
"She's a girl," Janson said.
"Stop your whining and just load the last box," I said. Brandon dropped the box and put his hand on his hip.
"She's your mate and you haven't lifted a finger!" He said. I held up my hand and flipped him off.
"There. I lifted a finger," I said. Janson was laughing his ass off and Brandon stood there, not sure what happened. I grabbed the box that Brandon dropped and put it in the truck. I got in the truck and started it. Brandon was about to open the backseat door when I drove up a little. Brandon reached for the handle and I drove up a little. This went on for a minute and Janson and I were dying of laughter. Brandon threw his hands in the air.
"I give up!" He yelled. I rolled down the window and yelled at him.
"Come on! I won't do it again!" Janson looked at me.
"You're gonna do it again aren't you?" Janson asked. I nodded.
"Oh yeah."
Brandon reached for the handle I drove up. Brandon growled and sat at the curb. I started laughing.
"Okay, this time I'll stop. Get in," I said. Brandon got up and hesitantly reached for the door. He had his hand on it and then opened it. He sighed in relief.
We made it to the pack house only having to hear Brandon's bitching the whole drive.
"I'm just saying! That was really freaking ru-"
"We know!" Janson and I yelled in unison.
"Don't have to yell," Brandon said walking towards the trunk.
"Well when we had to hear you bitch the entire way here, I'm gonna yell," I said.
"Who was bitching the entire way here? Was it Brandon?" Marcy asked, coming outside. I laughed.
"You know it."
Marcy walked up to Janson and gave him a kiss.
"Hey babe," he said.
"Did you want a kiss too?" Jane asked. I smiled and walked up to her.
"Of course," I said, pulling her to me. Jane giggled and I kissed her.
"Come on, Dylan. We have to get all my junk up to the room," Jane said. I groaned.
"It was a lot of work just to get it in there." I heard Janson and Brandon scoff.
"And by that he means he got to stand there and look pretty while we loaded everything up," Janson said.
"You think I'm pretty?" I joked. Janson threw a stuffed wolf at me. I held it up and looked at Jane.
"A wolf?" I asked. Her face reddened a bit.
"Yes. I love wolves," Jane said.
"It's a good thing you're mates to one then," I said. Her got red and then Brandon started chuckling.
"But sadly it's you," Brandon said. Janson started laughing.
"I feel sorry for your mate. Oh wait you don't have one."
Brandon stopped laughing and glared at me. I patted his shoulder.
"Don't talk shit and you won't get your feelings hurt," I whispered. Brandon shrugged me off. Jane tapped my shoulder.
"Yes, my love?" I asked. She smiled.
"Can I have my wolf back?" Jane asked. I smiled and nodded. I gave her back the stuffed wolf.
"Why on earth does she have a stuffed animal? Isn't she told old for one?" Chris asked himself. I growled.
"I heard that," I told him. Chris looked like a deer caught in headlights.
"Heard what?" Jane asked.
I stared at Chris. "Nothing." Jane nodded but I knew she didn't believe me. "Jane."
She held up her hand. "Just.. save it." Jane walked inside.
"Way to go," Brandon said.
"You need to stop doing that to her," Janson said.
"You can't keep everything from her," Marcy said. I ran a hand through my hair, messing it up. I heard a door slam shut and knew it was Jane. I sighed and walked inside, a box in hand. I knocked on the door.
"Go away!" Jane yelled. I let out a small growl and knocked again.
"Jane. Let me in," I said.
"No!" She yelled. I jiggled the door knob.
"You promised!" I yelled back. I heard her sigh and she unlocked the door. I was about to walk in when Janson came running.
"Rogues. North border," he said. I nodded and dropped the box.
"I'll be back. Stay inside," I said. I gave her a peck on the cheek and bolted out the door.Jane:
Shortly after Dylan left, Benjamin and some other dude walked in.
"Luna, this is Ezra. Your second bodyguard," Benjamin said. I stuck out my hand and Ezra grabbed it.
"Hello, Luna," Ezra said.
"Please call me Jane," I said. He nodded.
"Okay, Jane."
I stood there with the boys, not knowing what to do. I stared at Ben and Ezra. Ben's eyes were a light blue while Ezra's were green. Ben's gold-ish brown hair was neatly cut, and Ezra's was curly and black.
"Jane?" Ezra asked, waving a hand in my face. I snapped out of my trance.
"Hmm?" I asked. Benjamin chuckled.
"You were staring," he said.
"Oh. I, uh, was just thinking," I said. Benjamin hesitated but nodded. Ezra and Ben's eyes then fogged over.
"Um, guys?" I asked.
"Yes, Luna?" They asked.
"Your eyes kind of fogged over."
"We were communicating through our mind link. You can only do it if your part of the pack or are family to someone," Ezra said. I nodded my head.
"Am I part of the pack?" I asked.
Ben nodded. "Of course. Well sort of. When Alpha Dylan marks you, then you'll officially be part of the pack." Marks me? As if Ezra read my mind, he answered my question.
"When a werewolf finds his mate, he marks her to claim her. He bites into the crook of her neck, or wherever he would like, and it mixes in their scents together. So when another male comes by they know to stay away from you since you have a mate," Ezra explained.
"Oh. But won't it hurt? You know, getting bit?" I asked.
"For us, it doesn't hurt all that much but it might for you," Benjamin said.
"Oh."
We sat on my bed. Well the bed Dylan and I share. I had a root beer in my hands and the boys had root beer floats.
"Do you think I'll ever find my mate?" Benjamin asked.
"Of course you will. You said so yourself, each werewolf has a mate made specifically for them. That's how the moon goddess made you guys," I said. Ezra sighed.
"Maybe Ben's right though. I haven't found my mate either. What if she's just not out there?" He asked.
"That's nonsense. If your mate isn't a wolf then she's human. I mean were you expecting Dylan to have a human mate?" I asked. They shook their heads. "Then don't give up. I know she's out there. Just give it some more time." The boys smiled.
That moment was cut short when a deafening boom filled the room. I was thrown towards the other side of the room and hit my head on something. Debris was flying everywhere. A few pieces hit me. A big piece of the ceiling fell onto my leg, breaking it. I screamed.
"Luna!" Someone yelled. I barely moved and another scream escaped my lips. I looked up at the cracking ceiling, dust falling on me, and another medium sized piece fell on my arm. I screamed again. I heard coughing and feet shuffling.
"Jane!"•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•
