Strange Frequencies -Part 1

Scott and I went to the animal hospital and waited for Theo and Stiles to meet us there.

"Thank god you're okay." I said and hugged Stiles as he came in the door.

"I'm fine." He sighed and hugged me back. He then helped Theo put the body on the table.

"Do you know him?" I asked them.

"His name was Josh. He was a junior." Scott said. "Which one did it? The one with the cane?"

"Yea." Theo said normally.

"What are we gonna do with him?" Stiles jumped in.

"We can't just set the alarm and leave that's how Tracy disappeared." He continued.

"Someone's gotta stay here with him." I pointed out.

"I'll do it." I heard Theo's voice and we all looked at him.

"It's not like I had a big Saturday night planned."

"Another one." Scott said pulling out his phone.

"We found another chimera."

We arrived at Liam's house and he let us in. We ran upstairs into his room and we saw Scott there. He knocked on the bathroom door and then began to talk to the person in it.

"Hayden it's Scott, I know you're scared, but we just wanna help." He tried to tell her. I took a seat on Liam's bed not wanting more then to lay back and go to sleep.

"I can hear her heart beating, she's really freaked out."

"Yea well I'd be really freaked out too if three mad scientists turned me into a werewolf not knowing wether they're gonna decide to kill me or not." I said nonchalantly. They all looked at me.

"Claire, focus." Stiles said.

"Just proving a point here." I said.

"Okay what happened when you got here?" Scott asked.

"She was fine when we got her and I went to text you for like two seconds and she locked herself in the bathroom." Liam explained to us.

"Why?"

"I don't know."

"And she's defiantly a chimera?" I asked.

"She heard a voice saying 'your condition improves'." Liam responded.

"Well that's unsettling." Stiles said and turned to try and talk to Hayden again.

"Glad you came." Liam said to me. I flashed him a fake smile.

"You're mad." He sighed.

"Mad? no. Suspicious? yes. Confused? yes." I said bluntly.

"Look I'm sorry, but you know part of what I'm doing is the right thing, I mean paying her back."

"And that gives you the right to follow her car? Not to mention the thing back on the field yesterday, the 'moment' you guys had back at the club when the power went out. Plus you went and didn't even tell me!"

"We never had a moment okay it just happened."

"Look whatever, I don't wanna talk about this right now." I said.

"-that kind of thing is usually better face-to-face." I got up and moved Stiles out of the way.

"Hayden, It's Claire look we all know what we're doing and we're the only ones you can trust on this. I know it's confusing and it's going to be and we can help. It's okay if you don't wanna talk or not believe us, but either way we're coming in wether you let us in or let ourselves in, but you just have to trust us." I said and the door unlocked. I pushed the door open and she stood there with beta eyes, sharp teeth and claws.

"I believe you." She said and looked up with fear in her eyes.

School the next day was a drag. I was on my way AP Psych when Stiles ran up next to me.

"Hello oh great beautiful sister." He said and put his arm around me.

"Whatever you want the answer is no." I said and ignored him.

"Oh well guess what you're gonna help." He smiled.

"No I'm not." I said and kept walking.

"Look I need you to come to the school tonight to protect Hayden in the locker room. I'm gonna be with Theo watching over the body and Scott and Lydia really need you there, but not only that but Liam is your boyfriend."

"It's complicated and I'm not going." I said matter of factly.

"Come on. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please." He egged on.

"Alright! Just leave me alone." I said and he did a silent victory as I entered my class already knowing how much hell I'm getting myself into.
