As a Muslim, I usually get asked a ton of questions about wearing hijab. Yeah, tbh a ton of the questions people ask get repetitive and a little annoying to answer and are kinda stupid, but i still answer them cuz i'd rather them be educated than stupid.
but like some questions are pretty reasonable but i notice that a ton of people always feel the need to be like "I'm not trying to be racist, but_______,"
like just asking a question about religion or culture and everything doesn't necessarily make it racist. if you're working off of stereotypes that could be taken offensive or you generalize the certain race/religion/whatever, then it could be. But if you're asking a question about how something works just because you're curious, go ahead (to some extent) like just say "i'm just curious, but..."
like, it's okay. Don't be afraid to ask something that you're just not sure about BUT DON'T BE STUPID ABOUT IT AND ACTUALLY SAY RACIST CRAP BECAUSE THAT'S NOT OKAY.
