*Three months later*
Me and Shawn have been dating for three months so far. I think I figured out what love was and I believe I'm in love with him. "Hey Dam" Shawn said as he approached my desk after class. I stood up and hugged him. He hugged back and I grabbed my things as we headed towards the school's exit. "Hey Shawn are you coming to mine after school?" I asked. He frowned. "Sorry Dam, momma needs me to help her with the garden after school." He replied. It'd strange that for the past two weeks he's been blowing me off. "Ook maybe some other time" I said fake smiling. I turned and walked towards my house as he went to where his mom's car was. As I walked home I was thinking of why he keeps blowing me off. I shrugged it off as I entered the house. "Hey Damion how was school? Is Shawn coming over today?" Mom asked as I set my stuff in my room. "It was ok I guess and no ma'am. He says he has to help his mom" I replied. Mom smiled slightly and I turned and went to my room. "Damion! You have a call!!" Mom called. I rushed downstairs and got the phone from her and walked outside. "Hello?" I asked hoping it was Shawn. "Hey baby" Shawn said happily. "Shawn! Hey babe" I said smiling. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Nothing much how about you?" I replied walking around the yard. "Helping mom with the garden like I told you before school let out." "Shawn! Hun who's on the phone?! Shawn? Sweetie who are you talking to?" I heard someone say on the other line. "Sh-Shawn?  Baby? Who-Wha-are you cheating on me?!" I stuttered out with tears in my eyes. "What? No! That's my uh~ aunt?" He said but it came out as a question. "Your aunt's a teenaged boy?" I asked angrily. "Damion..baby I'm so sorry. He wouldn't leave me alone until I agreed. Dam you have to listen to me! I'm sorry babe" he cried. "Goodbye Shawn" I sobbed and hung up. I ran inside and set mom's phone on the kitchen table before running up to my room and locking the door. I slid down the door and cried. I thought he loved me.. I thought I meant something to him. I dried my tears right when heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Who is it?" I forced myself to say loader than I felt like. "Damion it's me baby. Can I please come in?" Shawn said from behind my door. Tears filled my eyes as I opened the door and saw his face. The one I fell in love with just a few months ago. "What?" I snapped. "Damion...I'm so sorry I love you so much. Not him...you." He begged. "Screw you Shawn. I don't want no sappy apology that you don't mean. Just go away and never talk to me again. And get out of my dang house!" I growled and slammed my door. I walked over and just curled up in my bed. My door was kicked open and Shawn walked to me. He had a scary look on his face as he ripped me from my bed and slammed me against the wall. I winced in pain. "Listen here Damion. You are mine. That little slut I was talking to was just a guy I was using. We aren't over unless I say we're over. Got it? And if you tell anyone about this I will hurt you even worse." He growled and kissed me before leaving. Bipolar much?
*a week later*
Shawn was over but mom and dad wasn't home. To be honest they thought I was at Shawn's. "Shawn stop your hurting me" I cried out as he began the beatings he's been doing ever since I tried breaking up with him. Every time we were alone he would slap me, punch me, kick me, cut me, anything to keep me from leaving. I don't understand why he likes seeing the boy he "loves" getting hurt. "Shawn quit! I don't want to be with you! You hurt me!" I screamed with confidence but my confidence fades as he gives me a dangerous look.
~~
I laid in my bed silently as my thoughts wondered. Shawn left a few hours ago and mom and dad got home about twenty minutes ago. My whole body hurts but Shawn knew to just make marks where people won't see. My ribs have many cuts and bruises on them and so does my chest. I can't tell mom or dad because he will find out and he would do a lot worse
