Spencer Hastings pulled up at the eerily familiar Rosewood Chapel. There were many people gathered in front,  and so many faces she recognized. She scanned the crowd, looking for a certain someone. Finally her eyes saw him. Toby Cavanaugh. He looked even better than he had the last time she has seen him four years ago. She got out of her car and stared at Toby. "Is there a reason you're staring at my boyfriend?" A voice behind her asked. Spencer turned around. "Hanna?!" Her ex-best friend, Hanna Marin stood there. "Me and Toby are a thing now. Everyone knows that." She said obnoxiously. Spencer's mouth fell open. But before she could say anything to express her shock, Aria Montgomery joined them. "Hey guys. This is such déjà vu." She uttered. "Guys!" Emily Fields ran up to the three of them in tears and pulled them into a group hug. "Em." Spencer said. "How are you holding up?" Emily burst into tears. Hanna hugged her again and let her cry. "I... I keep hoping it's not real. Th-that it's all a dream." Emily stuttered, her voice strung with tears. Aria started crying. Ezra Fitz came up behind her. "Come on, Aria." He said. "Let's go find our seats." He smiled sadly at Spencer, Hanna, and Emily. Aria took Ezra's hand and he led her into the church. An awkward moment of silence passed between the former best friends. Then Spencer gasped. "Oh my god." Hanna rolled her eyes. "What is it?" She asked. Spencer speechlessly pointed toward Charlotte Dilaurentis (aka Charles Dilaurentis) (aka Cece Drake) (aka A) walking amongst the people. "How dare Cece be here!" Hanna's face turned purple with rage. "Apparently, after the jump off of Radley, she had amnesia. She doesn't remember anything that she did to us." Spencer muttered angrily. "It's funny Spencer, even in this situation you still find a way to be a know-it-all. Well you certainly didn't know about me and Toby." Hanna smirked. "Well I think it's funny that even in this situation, you still find a way to piss me off!" Spencer shouted. "Guys, please." Emily pleaded. "Please don't do this, especially not here." "Whatever." Hanna said. "I'm going to go talk to Toby." She ran off. "Did you know they were together?" Spencer quietly asked Emily. "Well, yeah." Spencer looked at Toby and sighed. "Spence?" Em said quietly. "What is it?" "Don't you ever wonder if she's not really dead, like last time?" Emily's eyes were wide and innocent. "She committed suicide Em, the police are in custody of her body. They know it's her. I know it's hard to believe, but we really have to let go of her." Spencer whispered. Emily started crying again. "I just don't understand why." She blubbered. Spencer patted Emily's pack and led her into the church. As they walked down the aisle towards their seats, they caught a glimpse of Charles. I just can't believe he doesn't remember any of it. Spencer thought. The torture, the texts, the murders. Emily joined her mom and dad in the third row, and Spencer slipped into a random pew. "We are all gathered here today to celebrate the life of Alison Dilaurentis." The priest began. Spencer saw Toby and Hanna a few rows over from her. Toby was staring at her. She met his gaze. He smiled at her and she smiled back. Hanna saw Toby looking at her and possessively took his hand. Spencer  looked at the guy next to her. He had longish black hair and was dressed in a black tuxedo. "Caleb?!" Spencer whispered. "Hey Spence. How are you?" Caleb Rivers asked. "I'm okay. What about you?" She gestured towards Hanna and Toby. Caleb frowned. "Well, it's not like there's anything I can do about it. She broke up with me before I went to collage." Spencer nodded empathetically. "Toby and I went our separate ways when I went to London. I spent every second missing him, and since I'm moving back here, I just thought..." Spencer pouted. "Yeah, same for me." Caleb said. "But I guess nothing is guaranteed. Maybe we want them, but they certainly don't want us." He continued. "Wait, why are you here anyway? You and Ali hated each other." Spencer asked. "Honestly, I wanted to see Hanna." "Shhhhh" an old lady loudly shushed Spencer and Caleb. Both Hanna and Toby looked at them. Suddenly Spencer thought of an idea. She lowered her head onto Caleb's shoulder. He looked at her, confused. "We should pretend to date, it'll totally make them jealous." She explained. "I thought you were the smart one." Caleb said as he pushed her head up. "We can't just automatically date we have to have a story to it, you know?" He explained. Spencer realized he was right. "Yeah I should have thought of that." She said. He winked. "Flirting will help make it more realistic though." Caleb smiled flirtatiously. Spencer matched his smile. The old lady looked at their smiling faces and muttered, "Get a room. There's no place for that here." Meanwhile, Emily was trying to focus on the funeral but all she could think about was Ali killing herself. There hadn't yet been information released on how it had happened, and it was driving Emily crazy. She loved Ali, and the fact that she was really dead this time broke her heart. Even when she was with her last girlfriend, Sara Harvey, all she could think about was Ali. One day, Alison called Emily out of the blue. Ali finally said the words Emily had wished she would say her whole life. "Em, no matter what happens, I'll always love you." How could I have not known she was going to kill herself? Emily thought. There had been so many signs. She burst into tears again and her mom rubbed Emily's back.
